“This property is in an ideal location. The facilities were excellent, everything you could need was there. It was clean and comfortable. Lovely garden for our dog. Parking for two cars. Lots of take aways handy if you did not want to cook. Would recommend this to everyone. Will more than likely book again.”

“Great home and fully equipped, just what we need like home from home. Highly recommend this property.”

“Excellent venue with lots of parking. Very clean and spacious. This was a last minute booking and communication was poor. You don't get access instructions until you pay a waiver that costs either an additional £10 or £25 depending on what you choose. And then you have to chase to get it back. Sounds a bit of a con to me but I had no choice. Overall though the property was excellent, just let down by a poor letting agent in my opinion.”

“The property was clean and convenient for Beamish where I was working but there was a lot of empty beer cans and rubbish in the back yard, there was only 5 bath towels so no extra to change these if needed and only one hand towel and floor towel in tbe bathroom, I asked for more along with a couple more cups as there was only 3 but the cleaners didn’t turn up to address this, maybe a quick visit by the owners to assess what else is needed for five people might help but over all a pleasant stay……

“We had the privilege of staying at Glad and Kens fantastic property last week. The property was immaculately clean, very well maintained and the garden was beautifully crafted . Glad and Ken were amazing hosts and were always available for help and support. Their property is highly recommended and we will certainly be back !”

“Lovely property, tucked away at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac with beautiful views of the distant sea. Newly decorated with a powerful shower and plentiful easy to use heating. The bedrooms and whole bungalow feels very spacious. It’s a bit sparsely furnished and an extra lounge chair and some side tables would make it easier to use. Slight niggle that one of each of the bedside table lamps couldn’t be plugged in as there was no socket nearby. Also would have preferred a sink in the toilet. Its……

“Butterfly cottage is perfect for 2 people, we even took our pooch and had some lovely walks around the area. Stanhope is 10 mins away and Barnard Castle 30 mins.. great for runs out. Some nice local shops and cafes. Would deffo return.”
