"This small aparthotel is located a bit removed from the lagoon, so a car is probably a good idea, also to move around the area, which has more to offer than the lagoon. The property is very comfortable, with large rooms with kitchen facilities and balcony. It was cleaned every day to perfection. It has a small pool and outdoor area and safe parking. What I loved about this hotel was the attentive and reliable personnel - the gentlemen looking after it were lovely. The guests were mixed: families and a group of construction workers who were friendly and very respectful. I booked this place after one of the lagoon-shore hotels cancelled my booking on spot (dubious "adults only" policy) on a Saturday night during the high season. Azure immediately welcomed me and my son, and made us feel welcome and safe. I amply recommend this place! "

"This is a very cute unique place to stay. It is a little bit of a walk from the central touristy area of bacalar and a lot of touristy restaurants, but honestly it was great exercise for us and we enjoyed it. Plus, it’s only a short walk to the lagoon where you can swim for a daily fee of 20mxn. The hallway and bathrooms are a bit of a tight space, but it wasn’t a big deal for us. If you are much larger in size it might be annoying for you. The WiFi worked well enough to have zoom calls, albeit with a slight delay at times. The pool was nice and clean with hammocks to hang out in. The shower smelled not so great I think because it doesn’t drain properly. Also, we only had soap in the kitchen, nothing for bathroom sinks. But it’s easy enough to buy a couple of bars of soap at any of the local shops. For the price, this place is really great! It felt really safe and secure here. Each apartment has 2 big locked doors plus a giant locked door to the entrance of the whole space. We had 2 a/c’s that worked really well! 1 in the front and 1 in the back. There is a door between the front half and back half so you almost have 2 separate apartments. It’s funky but actually a lot of space for 2 people. It definitely fit our needs. "
