I’m not usually one to leave reviews, but after such a poor experience at a hotel that claims to be five-star, I felt it was important to share this so others don’t waste their money.
We were advised that a room would be ready by 1:30pm. Although standard check-in is 3:00pm, we were arriving early and were reassured this wouldn’t be an issue. From 1:30pm onwards, we were repeatedly told the room was still being inspected, and it was not available until 3:00pm. delays can happen, we accepted this and waited patiently.
However, upon entering the room, we were extremely disappointed to find a dirty, used cotton bud, hairs on the floor, and visible marks on the mirror and table. This was particularly concerning given that we were told the room had been undergoing inspection for over an hour.
When we reported this to management and explained that we had a reservation to attend and needed a clean room to get ready, we were shockingly advised to use the dirty room and that housekeeping would clean it while we were out. This response was completely unacceptable and showed a total lack of customer care.
After approximately 30 minutes of pushing for a resolution, we were eventually moved to a clean room. By that point, we were already late for our reservation. Not once after this incident did anyone check on us, apologise properly, or show any concern for the disruption caused. While we weren’t looking for compensation, the lack of care and accountability was disappointing.
