Honestly probably one of the nastiest motels I’ve ever stayed at, shower didn’t work , mold on the walls by the doors and no proper locking system for external entries , no screens on windows so had to cook in the room, AC didn’t work. Let’s just say I slept with my clothes on for half the night, didnt use the blankets or pillows and finished off sleeping in my truck so I could cool off. Will never go back to Derrick motel.

I stayed in room 102. I’ve never seen a rug so dirty in my life the bedding was clean, but the whole place needs a work over the shower system the toilet system. The flooring needs totally redone. It’s a dive and if that rug could talk. It’s got 40 years of talking. It’s time to change the flooring.

Check in was fast, staff were friendly. The room was clean but it is old. Nice to have a small fridge and microwave. There was also a counter top stove but we didn't use it or the microwave. Small TV which worked fine. The heat worked fine - didn't need to use the air conditioner.

The faucet system is weak in BOTH the sink and shower. You hear noises in the rooms mechanisms when you try to sleep, there is no lock on the outside of the hotel room door. The crime situation is bad as well. I saw police in the parking lot when I exited for check out. Unless you have absolutely no care for the quality of your room to a savagely extent, don’t even look at the place, let alone stay here.

The staff at check in was friendly and efficient. The room was comfortable and clean but there was a strange hissing sound in one corner that my visitor commented on.
