Winter break
Location was convenient to skiing, the Rio Grande gorge walking path, earthship museum and to good eats. Enjoyed our stay with great Taos Mountain and sunset views. Walked the road and arroyo nearby to see more of El Prado neighborhood. Thanks for sharing this home. Decor and art well done! Also an excellent eclectic movie collection… likely the only place in town you can enjoy a viewing of Barraka!

Winter Retreat
Four years in-a-row. Our perfect place for downtime and skiing. Fabulous! Also love all the books available to read. Recently discovered that Anne Hillerman continues her dad’s series, so it was neat to go back and reread “Dance Hall of the Dead” copyright 1973, to remind me why I fell in love with this series and to compare/contrast with Anne’s style. This home is just super beautiful! Love the art. Everywhere. What a balm!

Thoroughly enjoyed Casa de Suenos
My family spent a long weekend at Casa Suenos and had a great experience. House is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need and an awesome hot tub under the stars. Plus, beautiful artwork throughout the house.

Wonderful home

A place to fall in love with
Absolutely beautiful place! Prettier than the pictures posted! Furnishings inside and out, artwork, comfortable surroundings, all were outstanding. Gorgeous view of the mountains. If you prefer to "get away from it all", this is the place!

Quiet getaway
Very nice and peaceful property. It’s in a bit of a remote area which is exactly what we were looking for. There are neighbors but far away enough that you still feel secluded. Taos plaza is a short drive away! Nice little yard for our dog plus the wide open area close to a trail. Dog loved it and we very much enjoyed our stay!

Perfect Location
This house sits down a well traveled dirt road in a subdivision within close proximity to anything you might need during your stay. The house presents as described in the listing but is in need of a little TLC. While we were happy to bring our dog for our stay and appreciate the opportunity - we found a large amount of pet waste to the front of the property, along with some trash that may have blown in from the house under construction next-door. There was also pet waste in the backyard that we had to clean up. We travel quite often utilizing VRBO and every house we have rented other than this one has had condiments and small items left in the fridge so you can cook upon arrival. We always leave lightly used items for the next renter and have enjoyed that others do the same. You should know there is nothing left here and you must bring all items that you may need. This is not necessarily a bad thing, just not expected and had we known we would have been better prepared. Communication with the host could have been better. There were no entry instructions until hours before our arrival. Even after contacting the host for the information as VRBO instructed in the email you get with the directions, we did not hear back or even get acknowledgment for two days and until we were hours into a lengthy drive to the house. We also inquired about purchasing one of the paintings in the studio and never heard back. Ultimately we left two days early.

Gem in the desert.
This home was an absolute delight! I can’t say enough good things about it! From the gardens surrounding the home, to the spectacular view, the tasteful decor, the incredibly well stocked kitchen, the fabulous art in the on-site art gallery, and the attentive property manager. Taos Vacation
This property was exactly as pictured. Wendy was so helpful in giving us last minute directions to the house after she had already sent them to us in an email. She came by to drop off a tank for the grill and was a pleasure to visit with. We had our dog with us and the enclosed back patio area was perfect for all of us to enjoy. We would stay in this house again and highly recommend it.

Instantly at Home
The moment we drove up to Casa de Sueños, we felt at home. The property is beautiful, quiet, and serene. The neighbors were also quiet so that added to the enjoyment. We enjoyed the patio every morning and evening, and the hot tub was a wonderful "perk" that I did not expect to enjoy so much! 😀 Because of the altitude, the evenings were cool, so we even got the enjoy the fireplace on our last night there. What's better than arriving at a home that smells of sage and a fireplace that's been in use? It was lovely. I'd rent again in a heartbeat.

Priceless Mountain Views
The property was a pleasure to stay at. We normally stay at luxury bread and breakfast inns, so this was our first experience as a couple staying in a Vrbo property. It was on par, if not better, than the inns we usually stay in. The artwork was amazing and the property was clean, organized and everything worked properly. The stars at night from the private hot tub are amazing! Overall it was a very relaxing and pleasurable experience. The house was exactly as described, but the picture on the website is a little outdated as it does not show the house being in a neighborhood, but that was not a drawback to us. It is good that the homes are far apart and all the neighbors were quiet with no disturbances. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed if you desire to prepare a meal. Every room in the house is spacious and the closets have ample space for everything. Every window in the house has a beautiful view. There was good water pressure and on-demand hot water. The weather ranged from the upper 30's to the mid 70's and was ideal. The home is in a great location just 5-10 minutes away from Taos amenities and 20 - 45 minutes away from mountain activities. We had a special treat one evening watching the abundant lightning over the mountains - outstanding!

What a magical experience!
We spent a month in Taos, and we could not have been happier with our choice of homes. It’s remote enough to experience the open skies and peaceful quiet of Taos, but close enough to town that running in for groceries or a meal takes only a few minutes. We had family and friends stay with us for a few days at a time, and the open floor plan and separate sleeping areas were perfect for guests. One of the best parts of our experience was the walking trail behind the house, which goes on for miles and eventually takes you to the Rio Grande Gorge (though we never mare it that far). We travel with our dog, and having that trail for him to explore with us was invaluable. Finally, we really appreciated Wendy’s communication and responsiveness when we had questions. That’s how you run a rental home! We look forward to another visit to Casa de Suenos in the future.

Lovely Getaway
Beautiful home in a high mesa subdivision (we thought from the pics that it was really remote!). Quiet neighborhood. Short drive to Taos Plaza and the Gorge. Saw some beautiful birds and listened to the coyotes in the evenings. Leave enough time in the morning for the clean-up list on day of departure.

Wonderful Winter Retreat
My husband and I have always wanted to go to a snowy retreat during winter. This beautiful adobe home did not disappoint. It has it all ! Great location from downtown Taos, but also a beautiful drive to Angel Fire and Red River! We enjoyed two beautiful snow days and one very clear bright sunshine weather day. The accommodations have all that you would ever need plus many additional thoughtful add ins for the guests comfort. ( well stocked kitchen, extra wash clothes, towels, coffee filters and many extra small items that are useful in the kitchen). We highly recommend and the communications with the host are excellent as well! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home !!

Fantastic Experience!
We love Taos and have been visiting for decades, mostly staying in VRBO properties. This is the best one, by far. What an absolute treat to be able to stay in this house surrounded by Julie's incredible art. The house is in a quiet area that is convenient to everything Taos has to offer. This home is immaculately clean, the kitchen is well equipped, the bed is comfortable and bedding first rate. The floor plan is perfect. A bonus is being able to access Julie's studio/gallery to see even more paintings. We travel with our dogs and the fully enclosed yard area made our stay that much easier. The views in all directions are beautiful and Taos mountain is predominant to the west. We really didn't need much help except for one question and Wendy, the Property Manager was immediately responsive. Can you tell that we loved our stay and will be back?

New Year Bliss
No surprises with this property. It was perfect for our multi-gen family gathering. The flow of the house was perfect for two family units and the main room with kitchen and dining is open and airy with plenty of seating. I would have liked a couple more side tables but that is so minor… The property manager was easy to get a hold of when we had questions prior to arrival and helped add the pet fee. Perfect visit!!

Relaxing time with great views
We wanted a quiet place with great views to relax before the holidays. The house was great. Enjoyed the views, walking on the trail behind the house & sitting by the fire watching the snow fall. The location was nice. It was far enough away from town for solitude & close enough to enjoy the restaurants & galleries in Taos. We also enjoyed the art that was throughout the house.

We got way more than we expected!
This home is so beautiful and the artwork throughout is exquisite! Wendy you are a most gracious host and we wanted for nothing. This place has everything you need in a home away from home. The kitchen is completely stocked down to the seasonings! The view will take your breath away; we were fixated on the beautiful mountains from sun-up to sunrise. We actually got snow on our second day there which was our 36th Anniversary so that was a bonus. We have already spread the word about Casa de Sueños and are planning our next trip there!

The house was perfect for two couples with plenty of space and the kitchen was well equipped. The views of the mountain and sunsets kept us from wanting to leave to explore more. The hot tub and private art gallery were added bonuses! Definitely recommend staying here.

Lovely Artistic Pueblo Getaway
We loved our week at Casa De Sueno. The property description matched our experience and exceeded our expectations. Guest needs are well anticipated and met with little touches of hospitality. The manager was responsive, but we really didn’t need anything that wasn’t there. The setting was great for day tripping, convenient to all kinds of adventures. Also convenient to healthy groceries and restaurants. The owner’s art and furnishings made the experience special. So glad we chose Casa De Sueno!

Heaven on earth!
Our favorite VRBO property! Clean, comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen, stunning art and a view that can not be beat. Taos is magical but staying at Casa de Suenos makes this vacation absolute heaven on earth. We have stayed here four times and will most definitely be back. Our dog also gives the property five paws! Fabulous
We had the best time at Casa de Sueños. Home has everything you need. We got our groceries from Sid’s which isn’t very far. Loved the location. Very close to town (about 10 mins) but far enough away to enjoy peaceful afternoons or evenings outside. The views are beautiful. Loved having a closed in back area for our dogs to sit and relax with us. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

Beautiful home with ideal location
We had a wonderful stay. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our family of 4. Location was terrific with easy access to the main roads to drive into town, up to the ski mountain, or to explore the Rio Grand. We loved all the art in the home and truley enjoyed our visit.

Upgrades needed
Overall, it was delightful —- beautiful adobe home exquisitely decorated. However, because of climate change, air conditioning is needed in the summer in Taos. In addition, new mattresses would have made our stay considerably better. Without these changes, we would not be able to consider staying here again.

We’ve had no complaints about the mattresses or about air conditioning in over 150 five star reviews over the last 9 years. We are considering putting in a swamp cooler since air conditioning isn’t an option with our radiant heat system, but it gets so cool at night that we haven’t thought it necessary. But we are very sorry to hear that you weren’t comfortable.

Second trip did not disappoint!
This was our second visit to Casa Sueños and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. It’s a place you walk into and instantly feel at home. We’re particularly fond of sitting outside - relaxing with a glass of wine, watching the light change on the mountains and identifying the songs of the local birds. The inside is amazing - filled with colorful, beautiful and interesting art - and it’s super-comfortable with multiple couches and lighting options whether we wanted to read or watch TV. A collection of books offers things that pique curiosity and are easy to sample - perfect for light vacation reading. The house is well equipped and well organized. The kitchen contains everything we needed to cook a few meals and to clean up afterwards. There’s a trail that can be accessed right off of the driveway and our dogs thoroughly enjoyed every new smell. We didn’t have any issues that needed immediate attention but Wendy was available and responsive whenever we reached out to her. We’re already planning our next visit!
