Quiet relaxation
We used the house, studio as a base from which to explore the area. The place was big for two people, but I'd definitely do it again. For all its room, it was very comfortable. The weather was perfect during our stay, warm days and cool, even cold evenings.

Beautiful location
This property was located in a great location close to thousands of acres of public land and mountains. The house was equipped with everything that was needed for a short stay and all the furnishings were comfortable. Owner communication was almost instant. Overall, it was a great stay and would recommend this property to anyone.

Peaceful stay
This house is not for those with mobility issues—lots of steps and different levels, but we enjoyed our stay. Very clean. Second bedroom requires walking through the first to the bathroom. More photos would help people assess whether the place is suitable for them. Nevertheless, we got used to the peculiarities quickly and enjoyed the peace and quiet very much.

This delightfully bohemian place was furnished and equipped as if to serve guests who are snowed in for a week and need all the creature comforts. Downstairs had an impressively large table fit for a banquet, surrounded by eclectic artwork. The upstairs -- with lots of windows for ventilation -- invited deep lounging (velvet couches?). We came here during a summer heat wave, but had we come in winter we would have kept warm by firing up the oversized wood stove. The absolute high point was the spacious raised deck overhung by junipers but still allowing for stargazing -- literally at the boundary with Carson National Forest. A walk into the woods begins about twenty-five feet from that deck. The owner was welcoming and helpful. My only regret is not having spent more time with the resident dogs!

I would definitely stay here again. I felt so at home and relaxed, loved the art and atmosphere. My family had the best time and we all enjoyed talking to Bobbie and Copper. We will always remember our Harmony Hill visit fondly.

Our stay was so nice! The home was super clean and comfortable, and Copper was welcoming. The stairs are a little steep and tricky for two 76 year old women, though. There are a couple of places where steps could have been marked better to avoid falls. The upstairs balcony was lovely for happy hour, but I would recommend bug spray. The only thing I didn't see on the ad was that the bedroom with 2 twin beds is attached to the main bedroom, so the person staying in the twin bedroom had to go through the main bedroom to access the bathroom. If I'd known that, it might have been a deal breaker. Also, at this time of year, no air conditioning made sleeping uncomfortable upstairs. We did know that when we booked, and there were lots of fans that helped a lot. Overall, our stay was really good.

Hidden Gem
Wish we could've stayed longer. This place was great! We got in really late so we didn't spend much time here but I did get a nice hike into the forest in the morning before we left. Aside some confusion with the host after our visit, overall it was a wonderful place. Highly recommend!

Location was remote and hard to access. Stairs were very unsafe. Arrangement of rooms was very odd. You had to pass through one bedroom to get to the other or to bathroom. Quick overnight

If you want a peaceful escape ...
If you want a peaceful escape, Harmony Hill is for you! We really enjoyed sitting on the deck at nighttime, looking at the stars and hearing nothing but nature. The rooms were all cozy, and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommended -- we would stay here again. Thanks again, Bobbie!

Relaxing weekend
My wife & I really enjoyed our weekend away from ABQ in this quiet, comfortable & artistic home. We spent time at a favorite destination (Ojo Caliente) which was just 20 minutes away, enjoying the morning there, coming back to our rental for an afternoon nap & lunch then returning to Ojo at night. This location was perfect! The kitchen was well stocked and we had fun cooking together and listening to music on the great sound system they have. On our final day, we met the owner (who was super friendly, accommodating & upbeat) and enjoyed a short hike up into the forest. We're glad we found this spot.

A restful, peaceful place
This is a unique, charming house in a pleasant rural area just outside the entrance to the national forest. The night sky is wonderfully dark, and it’s a beautiful drive to Abiquiu/Ghost Ranch. The house was clean, tidy, and comfortable—I especially liked the soft, fresh-smelling linens. We would have liked an extra towel or two, and an extra dish towel, but I can’t think of anything else to suggest. We enjoyed our overnight stay and hope to come back someday! Note: if you just need a few basic groceries or pre-made sandwiches/salads for a quick stay, you can get them at Bode’s in Abiquiu (prices are high, of course, but it’s convenient—and the ice cream at the Frosty Cow is good).

Perhaps i was expecting too much but this house was not convenient for older people. We were glad we were here only one night. Interior stairs hard to negotiate due to poor lighting, so we were basically held captive upstairs near the bedrooms. Beds were difficult for us - either too high or too low for us to get into. Perhaps it should be mentioned that the property is not for the faint of heart. Maybe if we were 30 years you ger, it might have been okay...

Retreat on the edge of NM Forest
The property is tucked into the hillside, cradled by pines, with a view of the Mountains on 3 sides. 3 miles from town, and far from cities, with a night sky most spectacular. Sunrise poured in the second floor bedrooms, rear deck is set into the pines, ready for naps, reading, writing, or a meal...all private and thoughtfully furnished. Upper level living room is art filled, comfortable and eclectic with wood burning stove and comfortable couches, pillows, and wraps. Lower level kitchen had everything we needed with convenient walkout to parking and rock gardens. I found it the perfect retreat. Would love to return there one day.

This is a delightful hide-away just outside El Rito , New Mexico. Day trips to Abiquiu and Ghost Ranch. Great little restaurant inn town (best green chili burger). Beautiful sunsets from a great deck. Returning is in the plans.

Simply fantastic. Very friendly host with the friendliest dogs. Quiet location with amazing night skies. We brought all our own food and used the full kitchen. Super-duper close to the national forest entrance and access to rock climbing, biking and hiking. We will be recommending this to all our friends!
