“The Dexter will be nice once they get all of the construction done; address the hot water issues, and maybe add a chair to the room and perhaps a floor lamp, as well. In addition, they have the tiniest rolls of toilet paper with no extras available in the room, and they hardly had any shower gel in the bottle to use. Parking is at a premium- especially with all of the contractor trucks using available spots. It is a minimalist style boutique hotel. You will not talk to a front desk person after……

“Door wouldn’t lock after I tried numerous time worker came out to say batteries were dead and replaced them. Shower knob wasn’t turning on cold water. Had to have worker come show me and he struggled to get it on. Told me to push hard which I did but I wasn’t about to force it to be charged for their lack of attention. Mold in shower, hair and burnt sheets in bed. Says no smoking but the rooms smelled like unsanitary from the second u opened the door. The pool area IS BY FAR THE WORST AREA……

“Honestly not a bad place to stay at! Literally the one and ONLY thing that did it for me…was AS we were leaving, we go to grab our phones off the charger’s that are next to the bed!! We SEE a cockroach… we go through everything to make sure we’re not taking anything with us or make sure nothings inside. We left in a rush feeling icky. Also I wouldn’t say it was SUPER quiet because we could hear people passing by.”

“Over all our experience was satisfactory but our check in was disappointing and left a bit of a sour note. The registration clerk insisted on seeing my husband as his name was on the reservation. When I explained he had a disability and it was difficult for him to get in and out of the car a number of times she persisted and finally acquiesced to seeing his driver license with same address as mine. She was far from friendly. Breakfast was great. Room clean and satisfactory but dark and made……

“It was clean,but the floor in the room was sticky. The floor of the tub didn't have support under it so it was unstable . Also the toliet was very short so for tall and elderly made it difficult to use.”

“overall the property was decent. The complimentary breakfast was good. hot pancakes and eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy all cooked. self serve breakfast included cereal and oatmeal. coffee, milk and juice. the pool was nice, unfortunately, the hot tub was not working at the time. we were about 5 miles away from downtown Traverse City. there were a lot of restaurants that were close by.”

“The staff were kind and helpful. The room we got was spacious and we enjoyed walking out on the deck, then down some steps to the beach. We could look right out at the beach and water, and family of ducks from our room. The choices for breakfast in a box were simple, yet nice including a water bottle. There was a spot to post a letter which saved me a trip to the post office. This location is 3 miles from the city shops, we liked that as it was less crowded than the main city beach front.”

“Not enough towels provided. There is a post note in the bathroom suggesting to hang your towels. To save water. Pillows are too soft. Breakfast was minimal. Everything seemed condensed. No coffee maker in the rooms. Probably won’t stay there again. Also trying to figure out what an additional charge for $44.00 was? Desk clerk said not to worry it’s nothing. Well it’s on my credit card.”
