Family vacation

Nice, clean, fairly well kept, dog run was very convenient, very steep roads, great swimming pool, our bed was starting to show age, and it would have been nice to have some maintenance items handy like spare light bulbs as we had several lights out, but other than that everything worked as expected.

We hadn't previously explored all of the orchards in Ellijay and this location made it easy to do so. Also close enough for a day trip to Dahlonega. The cabin is well laid out and nicely appointed. Easy access to the hot tub and the dog area. We appreciate how dog friendly Sliding Rock is and the extra touches they provide (treats, toys, bed, dishes).

The kitchen is well stocked, smart tv's and a great location. To top it off we could bring the dogs! This was a gated property and one night around 3AM one of the dogs needs to go potty, while outside a police car drove by while on patrol.This one will stay on our list.

July 2023 Stay

We had a wonderful visit. The house was immaculate. Attention was given to every detail. Finding the house the first time was a little tricky- just pay close attention to directions from renter instead of Maps. Wildlife frequented the backyard. A young deer visited daily. On Thursday morning, a black bear was in the backyard. I highly recommend a stay here.

There were many kind considerations, like all appliances, different dishes, paper products, the best books, games, dog bed, treats... just everything. Even the pillows go from soft to hard. The yard for the dog was great. You have to go downstairs to access or as you pull up. I woulda liked a little more light out there at nighttime. So simple to arrive and checkout. We treated this like it was our own with care to keep it this nice. Definitely going back.

It's a great cabin if you want easy access in and out or if you just want to curl up inside. It is off the main road so it can be a little noisy from cars during the day. Security does patrol wish is nice. Decent views and a great community. Would return!
