“The room was dirty and hotel is old.There is not smell good in the hotel and room. We heard every sound in our room from other rooms such as a water running. Location is good.”

“Our room was clean and pretty, but no coffee maker, no fridge, and no TV. The floor was so far off level we were literally walking downhill to the bathroom. No continental breakfast, and the desk clerk wasn't sure when the restaurant opened on Sunday morning. Beautiful place, but not our thing.”

“When I arrived in my room after check-in, the first thing I did was check the sheets. Both beds had stained sheets. The front desk employee apologized and gave me another one. I checked those, they were both dirty. I went back to the man at the desk and he went looking for a clean room, which took another 20 mins. “The room was clean and comfortable. It looks just as described. Staff friendly. I think it was very affordable and close to everything we wanted to see. It is a real gem. My only issue was the beach access- we only seen a private entrance to it but we didn’t ask if we were allowed to use it. I would definitely stay again!”

“We found the Hotel Earl of Charlevoix to be a gem! Our room was clean and cozy, and the staff was super helpful and quick to answer any questions. The breakfast of hot waffles was tasty, but what really made our stay special was the electric vehicle (EV) charging stations right there. They made our first trip from Central Virginia to Northern Michigan in our EV so much easier and less stressful. Plus, the hotel’s great spot near downtown Charlevoix was a big plus. We could just walk around……
