Hamilton Hotel Washington DC
10/10 Excellent
"From arrival to departure, the Valet, Porter, House Cleaning and Front Desk personnel were corteous, helpful, and attentive. The room was clean, and all amenities nice. "
"This is a great hotel for the price. It is convenient to Union Station and the National Mall, so if you want to get to DC and be able to walk or use public transit, this is a great hotel for it.
The staff are excellent, the rooms are nice, and they have little niceties for you that are small but make a difference: bottled water, popsicles for kids, things like that.
The only drawback is there is very little dining for dinner close by, at least not if you do not like bars or pubs (e.g. if you are doing family travel). I ended up walking back to Union Station and getting food to go from the food court. But the Hotel can hardly help that. It is just DC in the evening. "
"It had a lot of Food trucks, McDonalds, Starbucks, and the breakfast buffet option was very convenient. I would like a microwave in the room because I went with my baby and I needed to go downstairs to be able to warm his milk inside the reception shop.
The beds were perfect, and the reception staff was very kind and considerate."
"Loved how artsy the hotel is as soon as you walk in. Easy to check in and out. My Check in was 2pm and my flight came in at 8 am was accommodated with a room right then and there. Really thought I’d have to walk around for hours until it was time. So convenient and no hassle. "
"The atmosphere was amazing, from the staff, our room, the accommodations, the decor everything was top notch. I’d definitely recommend this hotel again "
"The Washington Plaza is an older property, but it’s exceptionally well maintained and spotlessly clean. The pool was a real standout—especially rare for the DC Metro area—and made for a relaxing break after sightseeing. The location couldn’t be better: just a short, easy walk to the White House and other major attractions. Plenty of great bars and restaurants are close by, so it’s easy to enjoy the city without needing a car."
"We got to the hotel at 8am and asked to stash our bags for the day until check in. To our surprise, a room was available! It was right next to the train but the room had a sound machine and provided earplugs. The train noise did not bother us at all. Location is super convenient for the Metro and is located in a very cute part of the city with restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Great stay!"
