"The guesthouse is on the property as the owner, adding a feeling of safety. Knowing that even when we were out, the place was not unattended. While the owner's kept to themselves allowed us a feeling of isolation and quiet, it was good to know they were nearby in case we needed anything. "Wonderful stay. House looks small from the outside, but rooms are spacious. Good size kitchen with good space to cook and bathroom with dual sinks, jetted tub and walk in shower. Master bedroom was big, has a sitting area/desk space; King size bed, very comfy. Loft beds 2 full size. also comfy, my daughter loved it up there. "The resort is nice, they are very stringent on the rules. Home owner was great, responded super quick and was very accommodating. The unit is as described and the pictures are well representation of reality. There is a ski lift just at the base of the resort and the ski concierge is an added perk. The cost does not include resort fee or parking but everything else is great. Staff was very kind"

"This is one of the best places that I have ever stayed; the rooms are clean with tons of character. I love the style and the history of the place. There is a yard with a large outdoor kitchen and other fun games and stuff. Great for the kiddos! I'd like to find a reason to go back to the area just so that I can stay at this place again! And the American River is just right down the road (if you don't mind driving a gravel road). Love it and would definitely recommend! "
