"Good location. Staff was very helpful - I needed additional towels andgot them quick. Breakfast was good, healthy and well stocked and re-stocked. The person who was in charge of breakfast was very attentive to details. Plenty of parking, however if you return to hotel after 9pm, you might have only few selections left a little farther from building. We felt very safe nevertheless."

"The staff was very friendly and helpful. The property was well-maintained and beautiful. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and pool. The location was excellent - within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. There were many good choices for the complimentary breakfast. "My partner and I enjoyed our stay at this historic hotel. The decor is beautiful. From the intricate wallpaper to the moody art, it set the stage for a memorable stay. We ate dinner at Lola’s and had a drink at the bar. Spectacular! The bed is so comfortable and the room was cozy. The staff was friendly and warm. Can’t wait to return!"

"The hotel decor was perfect for the historical aesthetic and the room, itself, was comfortable. However, it was at the back of the hotel right next to the outside generator which hummed all night long. The morning coffee was weak and cold and the scones and fritatta were inedible. They consider the "free" breakfast as an amenity but you pay for it as part of the "resort fee". Aside from that, the service was very good and the food in the restaurant was quite good, as well."

"I recently stayed here for several nights and overall had a positive experience. Things didn't start out that way, as the first room I was assigned was really grim. There was an awful smell coming from the carpet (similar to wet dog) and permeated the entire space and bathroom. In addition, the toilet was running and didn't have a functioning flush. I was really hesitant to approach the front desk and complain, as am usually not a picky or confrontational person. However, I had nothing to lose because I knew I could not tolerate this for an extended stay. The gentleman at the front desk was so nice and understanding, and rather than make me defend my position just immediately set out to find me a replacement room. The replacement was much, much better and no further problem arose at all. All of the staff I encountered were extremely kind and cordial, and the breakfasts were really great. The room was quiet and the air conditioning worked perfectly during a very hot stretch. In hindsight, I know that pets are welcomed in guest rooms here and believe dogs had recently stayed in that first room, causing the strong odor."
