"Planned a short getaway to hike Mount Mitchell and this place could not have been more perfectly located to the trailhead. The Lodge is newly built, and ground are impeccably well maintained. The staff was super helpful. They even came by to drop off a lighter so the firepit could be put to use. They have a common use area with a ktichen and grills that can be utilized which is an added bonus as I don’t recall reading about all they had available to make the stay above and beyond expectations....

"This property was spectacular! We traveled with our family and two other couples, and we all had tons of space. The downstairs in-law suite was great for our family of four with the extra kitchen and entrance. The house was so clean and welcoming with plenty of toys for the kids, games, puzzles, etc. We even saw extra baby gates, stools, and pack n play. Truly the perfect place for families. The only thing that wasn’t ideal was the drive from the main road. The last mile to the house is a gravel road, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. We would definitely rent again if we’re ever back in the area!"

"I can't say enough nice things about Ruth's place. The host thought of everything. I can't imagine needing anything to cook in that beautiful kitchen that she did not already supply. You have the feeling of being secluded yet you're only minutes from downtown Burnsville, close to a grocery store, easy access, yet the wonderful feeling of being secluded during your stay. Ruth's place was spotless. It is the most immaculately clean VRBO I have ever stayed at. Check-In was very simple. Host was very responsive. Again, I cannot say enough good things about this place. I highly,highly recommend Ruth's place."
