Great escape...

The cottage is adorable and sufficiently furnished for an extended stay. Kathy and her dad are both super nice and helpful, and their dogs (Ollie, Lulu, and Daisy) are all very welcoming. The location was perfect and so quiet. We intend to make the same trip next year and hope to stay there again.

Great experience

The whole experience was delightful. The owners offered to provide anything we needed ( a grill). They were always available but not intrusive. We had a great week.

Very comfortable

We stayed here during the holidays and used it as a home base to visit family and friends. The owners were very friendly and had even left us a bag of fresh-baked Christmas cookies! The property was fully decorated for Christmas, complete with a full-size indoor tree and outdoor lights. We enjoyed porch visits from the small dogs belonging to the owners, although another property resident had a dog that barked for hours when the resident wasn't home. The wifi was great and the downstairs bed was very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again for our next visit.

peaceful paradise

We had such an amazing time. The place had everything you could possibly need. The owners were the best and I think my mom has made a friend for life. We brought our dog and she played with the owners dogs and it was so much fun to watch. Beth, the owner advised us of restaurants near by and a farmers market that we enjoyed. It was hard to leave and we look forward to our next visit. The place is very close to mount Dora and that is worth the trip. Beth also brought us cookies. Can't get any better than that.

Home away from home

Very comfortable, quiet and cozy. Stayed there while working and it suited our needs perfectly! Owners went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. Owners are super nice people and this is a great property that makes you feel you are at home.

Easy Living!

This is a sweet little farmhouse that lives so easy….plenty of space for the 2 of us -didn’t need the upstairs bedrooms or bath. The kitchen is well supplied with cooking needs ….and if you don’t have a specific tool or pot Kathy will provide it!! It’s an old farmhouse -circa 1939 -and lovingly cared for. While it sits “in the country” we were less than 10 minutes from Publix, Lowe’s and Walmart….. We particularly loved the front porch!! It was a easy stress free 3 weeks for us. Thanks Kathy and Jim!

Excellent Vacation!!

Elizabeth and her family are outstanding!! The property was well kept and in great condition. Front porch with swing was one of our go to resting spots!! We chose the location due to travel to two other family homes in the area, but if you are looking for easy access to Mount Dora, Eustis etc. this location is excellent. We would definitely stay here again, thank you Elizabeth😊😊.

Wonderful place

We arrived and were greeted outside. The place was exactly as portrayed on the website. We really enjoyed the house and I was impressed as to how quiet and peaceful our stay was. I would go back and stay here again if I need a place in Eustis. Thank you for everything.

Soul refreshing

This lovely cottage in the country was everything we wished for: quiet, surrounded by trees, comfortable, beautifully decorated. The hosts lived next door and were attentive to our needs. We sould highly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting "to get away from it all".

Christmas stay

Beautiful house in the country. Very comfortable and well-appointed. Quiet, rural setting, but just minutes away from everything you might need or want to do. Beth and Jim were extremely nice and very considerate hosts. We will definitely be coming back!

I was very impressed with the cottage, its exactly what I needed, a home away from home. We moved to Mount Dora and had 10 days that we needed to stay somewhere with our 2 cats and dog. I could not have picked a better place. Elisabeth was wonderful, friendly and very helpful. She had a cold bottle of wine when we arrived after a 2 hour drive with very unhappy pets, which is exactly what the doctor ordered. My stay there was very relaxing and really helped me with the big transition. I recommended her to my family and friends so there will have a place close when they all come visit me. Thank you sooooo much Elizabeth, your the best. The Dailey family

Quiet country setting convenient to the Lakes and Mount Dora area

Upon arrival I was greeted by the owner who showed me around the house. In the kitchen I found fresh baked cookies in the cookie jar, which were a special treat after my 14 hour drive. The home was very comfortable, clean, and quiet. In addition, there was plenty of parking for our two boats.

Wonderful Cottage in Central Florida Lakes District

We were very taken by the simple charm that this rental offered. The location was perfect for the Eustis area and it was a quick simple connection to our friends and relatives there. It was clean, well kept, and very charming. The porch swing was awesome at night and during the day. The kitchen was ample and with a little planning you could construct a meal with what is available. The wireless and TV signals were good and we were able to enjoy leisurely evenings at the rental as well as slow-start mornings. The master bed was very comfortable and the downstairs bathroom was very nice for two to use together. Closets were ample and everything worked well. The Byrds are excellent hosts and very helpful for local information and help navigating. Lots of local attractions and easy access to the beach, the National Forest, downtown shopping and easy to get to Orlando for theme parks and airports. We will plan on staying here again when we are in the area...
