“Lovely hotel, beautiful old main house with wood fires, panelled rooms, lots of lounges and spots to relax. Friendly reception and clean modern rooms in the mews. Plus two cats! Only thing to mention is that the signs for the outbuildings were a bit difficult to see when we arrived (in the dark & heavy rain), maybe they could be illuminated too? Otherwise a nice place to stay, we would like to go back and explore more of the history, grounds, bunker and restaurant.”

“This is a impressive property that was hosted to us very well. Both the exterior and interior were a beautiful sight, especially with the Christmas tree in the hall. It felt very special staying here and it was a comfortable night stay. The property was kept to a nice temperature and the fireplace was easy to manage. Our only regret was both of us not remembering to fill in the form on what we wanted for our cooked breakfast on arrival as this meant we had to select from a different menu in the……

Bar prices are also reasonable, I must say, cheaper than around Oxfordshire! so that was very well received by myself and good quality alcohol it was indeed.”
