The hotel was ok but at the time of our stay there was neither a restaurant or bar at the hotel. We had to go to a nearby hotel for food and a drink. Our room was adequate and clean .

Able to easily check in slightly early and the staff were really helpful, both at reception and the cleaning staff were really nice as well. The room was lovely and clean, and had Aircon which was brilliant! Beds were comfy and spacious and the bathroom was big and clean too!

Incredible value for a 1 night stop on the way back to London from Cornwall. Even better that on the hottest days in May since 1944, it had air-conditioning... a real blessing!

Parking easy, staff friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable, shower great! I had a lovely stay at the Gissons. Also the village is quaint and the pub did amazing food!

very clean hotel. easily accessible from and to exeter. No 7 stops outside. I was welcome by the manager Erica and she was a delight , very bubbly lady and she took me to the room and showed ne how to operate the aircon unit ( which was a blessing as I visited last night when it was proper hot). I stayed at a single room, but it was very spacious , and the bathroom was of decent size. can’t fault this little hotel

Went down to Exeter for a graduation ceremony at the University so stayed at the hotel for one night. I would definitely recommend. Parts of the hotel are undergoing refurbishment, e.g. the restaurant - but the rooms were well kept, linen and towels all of an extremely high standard . Very clean.. Shower - really hot water - yay! A must after a long day! Great consideration also shown to guests, particularly in the warm weather by provision of an air conditioning unit in the room and another fan to keep cool, so had a great night's sleep on a very comfy bed. Staff all very helpful especially Erica - thank you - nothing was too much - she was very accommodating. Hope to see you again! Just a reminder to potential guests - don't forget if arriving late and signs not visible to register vehicle for free parking to avoid fine. :-( Would definitely stay again. Very good value for money!

Location is perfect, there is a garage nearby, access to the A 38 is nearby and it resides in a lovely village. I was made to feel very welcome by Erica and her team who were more than helpful. Twin room had plenty of space and a nice shower with loads of hot water. Kitchen is currently being renovated so cannot comment on catering, for what I wanted it was perfect.

Found it strange no staff really on site only saw 2 and one member of staff seem to cover everything from booking in doing the key to cleaning the rooms, but very pleasant and helpful. The hotel seems to be under refurbishment as the bar and food area was all locked up. Think there is alot of work to be carried out. At first i thought i was the only one staying there. Good hotel for a base to stay

I was staying with my 88 year old Mum. We were awoken at 3am by banging and chatting from the room next door. It continued until we left at 7.30am. The room was apparently a room bring renovated with no door lock, just holes where it should be and Yellow No Entry tape. I was told the occupants needed emergency accommodation for the night. I drove 4 hours home on 3 hours sleep. I would not recommend this hotel if you would prefer to sleep through the night!

Clean, tidy and comfortable bed. Erica was very helpful. Car park was not in a good state with pot holes and untidy. No food or drink was not available on site , needs to be more clearer on the booking sites because it was a surprise when i was informed at the hotel.
