Worst stay I have ever had. The first morning at breakfast the plates were so dirty it put us off eating. We literally went through the whole pile and could not find any clean ones. Didn't bother going to breakfast the 2nd morning. There was an odd smell on the first day when we walked into room but it was stifling hot so put the air conditioning on and left it at that. However the next evening when we returned to the room we walked in and there was a clear smell of drugs in the room which we could not get rid of by opening the window. The room below were also extremely noisy and it was quite late by this point. I went to reception and explained about the smell and the noise and she responded as though this was no surprise at all. She just said that if people are smoking even normal cigarettes on the balconies below then it does tend to come into the rooms above. She asked if we wanted to change rooms but it was late at this point and I expected them to actually deal with the situation. However they did nothing at all, not even go to speak to the room below to request they lower the noise levels. They literally take your money when you check in and don't care after that

The thermostats controlling the aircon/heaters were mounted directly in line with the heater outlets so that whenever the heater kicked in the thermostat immediately thought the room had reached the right temperature. This comical setup had been installed in our bedroom and also my sister's room. The name of the installers was, amazingly, printed on the units. The hotel management would be well advised to get the installers back to correct the locations of the thermostats - at no cost to them. Apart from this issue the hotel is a real treasure with a brilliant restaurant. This was our second stay.

Booked this under the VIP banner which allowed me free drink from their restaurant bar. The staff greeted me in a friendly manner and directed me to my room. I had booked a ground floor room which had the benefit of a patio door leading to an outdoor dining area which will be fantastic in the Summer. It also meant I could park my vehicle just a few feet away from the patio door which was massively convenient. The room and hotel itself is really well decorated and clean and my room had a great A/C system and fridge. I used the hotel gym which was not big but was functional and allowed for a good cardio and weights workout with only myself and one of patron using it for the duration of my time in there. There were plenty of dining options within a few miles of the well-situated hotel. I had a great night's sleep and breakfast the next morning was really nice to top off a fantastic stay all round.
