"The front desk clerk was kind and professional! Kudos to her for making me feel secure in unfamiliar territory. I would recommend a more customer friendly front end appearance. I understand the need for glass/plexiglass border between client and staff. But it was a little unnerving, especially with the “rules signage” posted immediately to the left when you walk in. How many hotel properties have to post the following: There will be a $250 addition to your credit card at check-in. What it did not communicate is that it only applied to those paying cash.
The property is old but a good value for the price. The shower provided great water flow. The bed linens were perfectly clean. The housekeeping staff was very friendly. There were sufficient locks on the door. The only issue was the air conditioning unit. It had to be set at 66 degrees to sufficiently cool the room. The breakfast room required key entry and offered a buffet with eggs, sausage and bacon, cereal options, yogurt, muffins, bagels, waffles, juices and toast.
I would stay there again because it was a reasonable value and because of its proximity to amenities."
