Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Had pre-paid our stay through Expedia, arrived at the hotel and was a bit struck by the people hanging around the lobby. Check in went smoothly went to our assigned room opened the door to see the room in absolute disarray and a woman laying on the bed watching tv. Went back to the front desk and told them about the room, upon looking into it the guest who was in the room and was supposed to have checked out was still occupying the room. My question was how could have house keeping not notified the front desk that the room was still occupied. As it turned out there was no house keeping and there was no clean rooms available which the other people in the lobby were waiting for. Expedia was awesome, I contacted them immediately explained the situation they contacted the hotel while I was standing and provided a full refund. Booked another hotel through Expedia and had a good stay without incident. Felt bad for the young ladies at the front desk as they were trying their best under difficult circumstances but I would avoid this La Quinta at any cost when visiting Fargo.
