Idyllic Cottage in Serene Setting
We loved the quiet setting, views from the kitchen and living area and the rustic charm and comfort of this beautiful cottage. While we did not stay long enough to enjoy the outdoor streamside firepit, we did enjoy the gas fireplace while having dinner and watching a movie. I did take one star off for the cleaning because although I am allergic to pets and knew this was a pet friendly home, the helpful property manager said the house had been recently deep cleaned and would be given a once over before we arrived, but I found animal hair on the window ledges and as a large wad of fur under the bed. We loved it otherwise and found everything we needed in the kitchen for the basic food prep.

Cozy winter getaway!
This was our second stay here - we just adore it! We love the heated floors - what a luxury! So glad the indoor fireplace has been converted to electric - we appreciate a wood burning fire, but this old home just wasn't suited for it. Nice to have the look of a fire in the house - thank you! Location is great - but you should have a 4 wheel drive in the winter. There is MUCH more snow at this home than even 4 miles away downhill! The outdoor fire pit is a favorite of ours - we bring loads of our own dry wood as well as a fire starter log to make starting the fire easy. The host is amazing with communication and follow-up...kuddos to that! Thanks for another much needed quiet escape to the woods!

We are so happy to have you as a return guest, and so glad you enjoyed your stay with us once again! The indoor fireplace was upgraded to a gas fireplace - much easier for guests to use and enjoy! The fireplace and the outdoor fire pit are both wonderful to use in the winter! Great note on the 4WD - we do put in the listing that AWD/4WD is required during the winter months, as the snow can be intense and we want our guests to be prepared! We hope to see you back next year for stay 3! :)

Perfect Location
I camp or stay in Ohiopyle every year. The cabin is in close proximity to shops and the park. The cabin was cute and shares a driveway with another cabin that’s far enough way but you’re not totally secluded. I find this to be a good thing. I did have to go buy bedding and pillows because when making up the bed realized it was unclean. I would consider booking in the future.

Quiet Retreat in Beautiful Setting
Rustic log cabin with additions of bedrooms, bathroom, and large kitchen. Conveniently located near US Highway 40, but far enough away from the highway to be quiet. Relaxing and comfortable. Large deck and additional outdoor seating areas near woods and small creek; however, we tended to stay indoors to take advantage of the central A/C as we were there during some heat and humidity of early August.

Perfect for July 4th!
Super cute cottage on a peaceful creek. Everything was clean, the deck was awesome and private, and kitchen had everything we needed. Location was perfect t and right by the distillery and winery and short drive to Ohiopyle and other attractions. We will be back!

FABULOUS, COZY HOME
The home is perfectly located for all things in the Ohiopyle area - it is easy to locate and all the directions were very clear. The grounds around the home are wonderful for exploring, poking around in the stream and relaxing on the deck - and the bonfire pit by the river was wonderful (bring your own wood, paper, lighters etc). The inside is well appointed with everything you need (we even made a Thanksgiving dinner there!) - the big open kitchen that looks out over the woods is fantastic - great big windows! The floors are heated - what a. treat - and the beds and linens are so comfy! The fireplace is tricky - I would not suggest using it - smoke backs up into the home very easily. We really enjoyed this home and wish to complement the owners on how tidy, well stocked and comfy their home is!

Lovely cabin with a wonderful woodland view off the back deck. The heated tile floors in the kitchen and bath were so appreciated on the cool, Fall mornings. The location was perfect - short drive for supplies, Ohio Pyle Falls, Fort Necessity and many different types of trails. Baughman Gorge up the mountain from Ohiopyle was absolutely beautiful this Fall. Be sure to visit Fort Necessity battlefield. Absolutely wonderful. Our host for the cabin was so friendly when she checked us in in and we enjoyed our entire stay.

Nice get away from the city
Overall this was a great stay - the bed was comfortable, the location was incredibly convenient to Ohiopyle, and the landscaping was quite beautiful in fall. The downside to this trip was that communication wasn’t entirely clear between what would be there and what was expected, with conflicting messages in the app and then in the cabin. But we had a great time and I’d probably go back for the location alone.

Lovely getaway in the woods
This was our second time staying here. We love the location—woodsy and secluded, and we love all the outdoor seating space! The cottage is comfortable with very good wifi. We love coming here to spend a weekend hiking in Ohiopyle and Bear Run.

Had a great time
The cabin is really cool and sits next to a nice little creek. It was close to the winery and the distillery (less than a mile). Our dogs really loved the grounds and were able to run around. I would recommend the property to anyone going to the area. We did Falling Water and a river trip out of Ohiopyle and both were close and accessible.

Log cabin near Ohiopyle
Well designed, clean log cabin reminiscent of the original Civilian Conservation Corps building style in PA, with large brown logs and solid fireplace. Well-loved spaces with thoughtful floor plan and furniture. Near the road but still private. Air-conditioning is only in the living room and there are no fans in the bedrooms to move the air, so in a hot summer night it was somewhat uncomfortable, particularly in the back bedroom where the kids slept. The kitchen is basic but the space is beautiful with ceiling to floor windows overlooking the woods. The porch is lovely, and so is the little stream on the bottom of the hill.

This place is awesome!
My wife and I wanted a weekend getaway and booked this cabin and it was perfect. It's off the main road yet conveniently located within a very short drive to restaurants. Ohiopyle and Kentuck Knob are both within 12-15 minute drive. The cabin itself was well stocked and very comfortable. It was a little cool for us to enjoy the outdoor firepits but they looked nice. It was a wonderful place to hang out after long walks at Ohiopyle or visiting other sights in the area.

Cozy Cabin Stay
The peace and quiet at this cabin was just what we needed. Surrounded by woodlands and a creek, we felt “away from it all” but still close enough to enjoy some local sites. The cabin had everything we needed from a well-stocked kitchen to a comfortable bed. We only encountered one issue when the water stopped running but the property owners responded very quickly and fixed the issue. The rest of the trip was perfect. The warm floors kept us cozy during an un expected snow storm. I would definitely stay there again.

Great Weekend Getaway
We wanted a nice weekend away without a long drive so chose this area since we’re very familiar with it. This cabin is just perfect for that! It’s cozy and inviting but not small. There’s anything you’d need and windows /skylights everywhere which was wonderful. There’s a great deck out back to sit, read a good book, have a glass of wine and watch nature. We definitely enjoyed the fire pit by the creek in the evening. Definitely recommend it and can’t wait to visit again.

Overall wonderful stay!!
We had a wonderful week at the cozy cabin. The only downfall is the size of the tv. While we were out and about all day it would have been nice to be able to settle in front of the fire and watch tv on a screen bigger than a computer monitor. While this is a fantastic place to unwind... this was a big disappointmemnt when we first arrived.

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful location
The cabin is comfortable and spacious with lots of outdoor seating. The kitchen is particularly lovely with big windows on three sides. The location feels very secluded and quiet despite being conveniently located not too far from a winery, distillery, some food and grocery options, and of course Ohiopyle. We loved our stay and hope to come back!

Perfect Getaway
We needed a pandemic friendly getaway with our son and his gf and our three dogs. This was just perfect! Cozy, comfortable, rustic, beautiful scenery all around, a winery/distillery within walking distance, kitchen with all the cooking accessories needed (except for a coffee maker. There was a Keurig but the listing said there was a regular coffee pot too which I would have preferred.) We had rainy weather all weekend but that made it all the more cozy to stay in, drink wine and play cards/games and read. We will definitely be back in warmer weather so we can hike and explore the area more.

Haven from rain and noise!
Although the weather limited our ability to enjoy the outdoor amenities (deck, fire pits and mountainside) we enjoyed the stay in the well appointed property. The seeming less endless (but much needed) rain limited the ability to light a fire in the fireplace, aside from the first nite (we did bring in dry wood for the next guests to be able to enjoy), We are contemplating another visit in the Spring, in hopes to enjoy more of the outdoor pleasures. We were able to visit Fallingwater, Kentuck Knob, Cucumber Falls the next door neighbor winery & distillery (awesome Root Beer Moonshine) and the many antique/gift shops. We witnessed Cucumber Falls when it was just a "trickle" and then again when we were leaving, when it was in full force.

Yes, this is definitely an "unplugged" cabin. Most folks that choose this uber popular cabin realize this is part of the total experience and ideal to getaway from the hustle, hassle of a connected life--but, I get the need for others to stay connected. I do not see the owner changing this in the near future; but, certainly appreciate the feedback.

This was our first visit to the Ohiopyle area, and the Creek House was a great place to experience it. It’s very clean and comfortable with plenty of outside areas for relaxing. It’s located close to numerous local attractions but is quiet, peaceful, and woodsy.

Gorgeous cabin getaway
A friend from college and I booked this cabin as an alternative when our NYC trip was canceled due to Covid concerns. It turned out to be the perfect getaway. The cabin is spacious yet cozy, with a beautiful firepit area around the side. There is a mountain runoff stream behind the cabin. Everything about this stay was comfortable. The only odd thing is that while bed linens were provided, they were left on top of the beds in cute baskets. We both thought it was odd that the beds weren't made on our arrival. Otherwise, it was a wonderful weekend.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay! This home does make for a wonderful getaway. Yes, you are correct, we do not not make the beds for guests ( just one of several differences between a vacation rental and a hotel room). This approach allows guests an opportunity to inspect the linens and be sure they are cleaned before use.

A lovely getaway
Our family needed a little getaway and this was the perfect spot. Our kids (4 and 7) loved playing in the creek and exploring the wooded area. The outdoor space was great. During our stay, the oven broke. We contacted the property manage and she arrived quickly but could not fix it. She was very kind and promised someone would come the next day. It was repaired the next day. We appreciated the quick response and kindness. We had a wonderful time here and spent some time at Ohiopyle, too. We didn’t want to leave and look forward to coming back,

Wonderful cottage!
Wonderful private cottage in a great location, very convenient to area attractions. The home was very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the campfire area.

Blissful
Took my girlfriend here for a weekend getaway. Place was absolutely amazing. Couldn’t recommend a greater weekend. Went biking on the trail from confluence to Ohiopyle. Then we hit the rock water slides. Enjoyed some wine by the fire and cooked dinner in the kitchen.
