"Beautiful modern property with minimalist decor in soft natural colors. Rooms well appointed with robes, slippers, toiletries.
Breakfast was fresh, delicious and with enough variety to not eat the same thing every day. Champaign was a nice touch.
Pools are awesome and the noon water aerobics was great. Sunbeds and umbrellas were plentiful. Spa was also first rate. Adult pool in the upper deck is great for a quieter time.
The bars and restaurants were very good but the evening buffet was overpriced IMO. Just pay attention to their open times. There’s a sister property up the street that has an excellent Italian restaurant. Nice boutique in the lobby, too.
We had a fantastic, relaxing time.
Absolutely will return to a PortoBay property anywhere.
Things to consider: if you use a wash cloth bring your own.
There are great distances to walk on this property so it might not be for you if you have mobility issues. Also the terrain is very hilly. It’s no where near Old Town. You can take a bus or a taxi 10-15 euros each way.
Walking distance to a small area of tourist shopping and dining but no major supermarket.
The beach is reached via a treacherous and lengthy boardwalk and stairs. If you’re hoping to do beach bathing you’ll probably want to go to another beach."
