“I don’t have enough words to describe just how beautiful this gorgeous bed and breakfast manor really is! Our room was elegantly decorated with antiques throughout and yet it was inviting and comfortable! The bathroom had a large jacuzzi tub as well as a shower! There weren’t many other guests so we checked out the other rooms and all were just as amazing! The breakfasts were just brilliant! We felt completely pampered! I look forward to a return visit! ”

“If we could leave more than five, perfect stars, we would. Everything about this stay completely, blew us away. “We stayed in the Eisenhower Suite at the Ohlinger House in Gettysburg for 2 nights. It is centrally located in downtown, easy to walk to businesses & restaurants. Our room was very spacious, comfy bed and good water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was delicious and they generously have it available from 8-10:00. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.”

“This is a beautiful property both outside and in. The proprietors were friendly and respectful. The pool and patio with the surrounding gardens are very peaceful and relaxing. The house is well insulated for noise. We didn’t know there were 6 other people staying there until we met them in the dinning room for a delicious breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay and, have already told our family and friends to stay there when traveling in the area. ”

“We absolutely loved our stay at the Thornwald Mansion. It is nicely secluded in a park yet you are within walking distance to Dickinson College and a shopping center. The property has outstanding amenities and the food selections at breakfast were delicious. The service exceeded our expectations. The room and the bed were comfortable and very quiet.
This mansion went under fire and then was rebuilt by the current owner from the ground up paying attention to detail and preserving its history.

“The term "hotel" is a little misleading as it is more like an inn where there is no hotel staff onsite. An innkeeper greeted us to check us in and give us a tour of the property. The room was very clean and comfortable. We also visited the onsite restaurant, which was lovely. The food was excellent! Unfortunately, there were no real options for breakfast in town and no shopping or entertainment. If you stay here, be prepared for a quiet night in.”
