「Decent value for price」

「We were traveling in June so things were pretty quiet in Fernie! The Park Place has a real lodge feel. We had a great room with a balcony looking out towards the mountains. Our room was clean and well equipped with a fridge, small stove & necessary dishes, etc. There was a seating area with a small TV and comfy furniture. The pool & hot tub are in the center atrium - we enjoyed the hot tub. The food & service at the attached pub were excellent! Would definitely stay here again!」

The moment we walked into the room, we were hit with a terrible smell that made it obvious the room had not been properly cleaned or maintained. The entire room felt dirty, run-down, and neglected. The bed wasn't even made properly, which immediately made us question whether the linens had been changed at all.
