Great Getaway

An overall great experience and would stay again. The only thing that I would do differently, is reserve a different area of the building. There are 3 areas, all good sized, but after being there and having eyes on things, I feel one of the other units would have been more ideal for our group of 6. Otherwise, loved everything about it.

Fife Lake Retreat

This was a nice property that worked well for our family. We had 7 adults and an infant so the only issue was the one bathroom. However, we knew that going in. The bunk beds were a little wobbly and coming apart. Other than that, everything was clean and as described. The lake view and windows were great.

Great place to stay on the lake! Very clean and kept up very well!

We had a great experience with the host and at this residence. It was kept up well and very clean. Everything looked as it did in the photos and would recommend it to anybody!

Beautiful getaway

We had to move units due to an elderly dog and the company worked with us to ensure a smooth transition. In addition, they texted daily to see if our needs were met or if we required their services. Very communicative and attentive. We love the unit we ended up staying in- great view of the lake on the balcony. Great location - not far to Traverse or Mission Pointe. We are going to come back for certain. Enough units to accommodate a group if needed. Dog friendly- bonus!!

Photos only show good parts

When we first got there, just going up the stairs they were full of dust/webs and bugs. The lighting in most rooms was very dark and would only have one lamp even though the photos seem like it’s very bright. One of the rooms didn’t have locks. Also very little supplies if you decide to go here make sure you’re well supplied with everything.

Property was supposed to have a boat rental from property owner which is the only reason we booked it and never took their rental add down and didn’t inform us of no more boat rentals until it was too late to switch our booking elsewhere

Not as expected, poor communication

I was not going to leave a review but decided I should. The communication with the owner was limited except a confusion with my license that was not mentioned until I asked and turned out not to be a problem. The communication from the property owner was limited to none for preparing for our trip. There were no directions on how to use the fireplace which would have been welcome for the cold weather on our visit. There were bugs in the entryway on the coat rack. We sent a message asking for where more toilet paper was as a single roll was left for use, I never received a response. I don’t like leaving reviews if it is not positive but I would not choose to stay here again. Especially if I were to rent a boat which was covered with seagulls and their droppings on the boat awning.

Great Stay in Cozy Apartment

We had a great stay at Fife Lake! The house was generally clean (although our cat did find a used tampon under one of the beds). The house was definitely very warm. Although we had the heat set to 60 degrees the place was usually between 75 and 80 degrees. The hot tub was great even on the first extremely cold day when we arrived. The cat loved the fireplace and perching on the window sill looking out at the lake. The dryer was broken but since the unit was so warm and dry the clothes dried quickly when we hung them out. Overall we had no complaints and we'd be happy to stay there again.
