Modern log cabin on Blefjell

This is a spacious cabin that is well suited for renting to 2-3 families or for a company. The cabin is located quite secluded, with a good distance from other cabins in the area

"Stallen" is a modern cabin with a floor area of ​​100 m2. and a 2nd floor of 35 m2. The cabin is located at 525 m.a.s.l. on Blefjell in the Flesberg municipality in Numedal, only 1.5-2 hours drive from both Oslo, Larvik or Skien. Our own family uses the cabin a lot, but it is rented out a lot on weekends/weeks and holidays.

"Stallen" consists of an over 150 year old hand-built nostalgic log cabin, which has been converted into today's living room. This is combined with a modern and airy extension. The cabin contains a porch, 6 bedrooms with 14 beds, living room, kitchen, 1 bathroom with shower and jacuzzi, 2 toilets and a small attic room.

The loft living room is particularly cozy and warm. It contains a large corner sofa, a smaller seating area, a wood stove, an open fireplace made of natural stone, antique furniture and a TV that is hidden away in an antique cupboard as it disturbs the aura in the old living room.

The kitchen is modern and well-equipped. It is high and airy with an open bay window, and it contains a massive dining table with 10 chairs, as well as old antique peasant furniture. There is plenty of room for 12 at the table, a bit cramped with 14. From the dining area there is a great view of the mountains and the village, and the kitchen is heated by a heat pump, as well as a large, efficient wood-burning stove.

The cabin has a total of 6 bedrooms.
Bedroom 1. Double bed.
Bedroom 2. Family bunk bed with space for 3 people.
Bedroom 3. Family bunk bed with space for 3 people.
Bedroom 4. Two single beds, which can be put together to make a double bed.
Bedroom 5. Flat bed with space for 2 people.
Bedroom 6. Daybed with underbed outside in the loft room. It can get a little warm here.
Total number of beds is 14, with space for a cot in addition.

The cabin has a high standard with satellite TV with many channels, DVD, radio/CD, large jacuzzi for 2+2, and a well-equipped kitchen. The cabin has free Wifi, and very good 5G coverage, both Telenor, NetCom and IceNet. Large terrace with charcoal grill, fire pan, solid rustic cabin furniture, as well as climbing trees with ropes, swings and ladders for the children. Good sledding opportunities around the cabin.

Machine-groomed ski slopes with double tracks near the cabin that go for miles further into the mountain. If you are lucky, you may experience seeing reindeer here, as there is a small wild reindeer herd on Blefjell. Alpine facilities 3 km. away. There are many small lakes, and good trout fishing on Blefjell. Good opportunities to find both cloudberries, blueberries and lingonberries. Many great cycle paths and cobblestone hiking trails that are very well marked.

A short distance to a great newly opened swimming facility at Lampeland. There you will also find Kiwi and Rema 1000 open on Sundays. It is only 2 km. to Blestua, a mountain lodge with full rights. There they have two fast chargers for electric cars and some groceries. M.A.O.! There is no electric car charger at our cabin itself. Blestua has good and affordable homemade food, they do catering, and can deliver food to the cabin. Highly recommended.

Both firewood, electricity and wifi are included in the cabin rental.
Parking space for 3-4 cars (max 5).

Unfortunately, there is no possibility of arrival or departure on Saturdays.

It is okay to bring a dog, but the cabin is non-smoking. There is high fire safety there, with serially connected smoke detectors in all rooms, as well as a fire escape. The cabin is fully heated when the guests arrive. You are welcome.
