Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you prepare well enough. We've put together a list of handy tips that will help get your Moss Town holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a stress-free experience if you bring the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh change of clothes and a good read. Next, make room in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any daily medications and maybe a cosy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to take your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) hiding in one of the compartments of your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable substances, like aerosols and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to be as comfortable as possible. Opt for easy-to-remove footwear, dress in loose, natural-fibre clothing and don't forget to bring a jacket in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
