Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're prepared. We've compiled a list of handy tips that will help get your Tutu escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be easy if you pack the right gear. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and a good read. Next, find room in your bag for your laptop, a charger, any daily medications and maybe a neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, remember to bring your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and poisons, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Opt for a pair of flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to bring a jacket in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- The result of sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers on long-haul flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your legs and feet moving and wearing compression socks or tights.
