Located on the first floor of the beautiful Palazzo Bardi, the first example of a Florentine Renaissance palace. As soon as you enter, you will have the sensation of tasting the typical atmospheres of the Renaissance welcomed by the spectacular Brunelleschi cloister.
The apartment consists of a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a 4-seater sofa, two double bedrooms one of which overlooks the cloister and a spacious bathroom.

Great location (the restaurant downstairs was one of the best), such a cozy space with beautiful ceilings. Very unique and very comfortable.Walkable to SMN, ponte vecchio, oltrarno, uffizzi - literally everything was right outside the door including the 23 bus.Loved this place and loved Florence!

Roberta was wonderful. We had to take the train into the city and then walk quite a long way because of a taxi strike. She waited for us and even sent a friend to find us on the streets to make sure we didn’t get lost. She also stopped by and grabbed us a reservation at the wonderful and very busy restaurant in the building so we could have a nice dinner with no more walking after our travels. The apartment was lovely. It’s perfect for a couple who want to be in the heart of Florence, but still have a quiet place to come home too. The internal courtyard makes it feel very secluded, but when you walk out the door you are only a short walk to all the sights. The restaurants she recommended were great, and we had a wonderful time in Florence and the apartment was the perfect place to rest our head at the end of the day. We would certainly stay again.

The apartment was perfectly located with the Uffizi gallery located a short walk away and the river with an amazing view of Ponte Vecchio from the closest bridge. The neighborhood was vibrant with easy access to stores and restaurants. I have celiac disease and was very excited to have two exclusively gluten free restaurants, with homemade bread and pasta, within mere blocks.

The location was great and the kitchen amenities were great…but we ate out the entire time. Amazing restaurant one street over Osteria! We became regulars. We didn’t know about the Florence marathon which was a lot on our our street as there is construction on the road near the Arno. I live in Chicago so ours is way over the top for traffic drama.We finally figured out the Italian keys. They pull out of the lock horizontal. Enjoy

This was the most wonderful experience my husband and I have had at a rental. The building which was built as a palace during the Renaissance was very special and the apartment within the building was extremely comfortable and spacious. It was very quiet and in a great area within walking distance of many restaurants and sites. Roberta was a wonderful host, easy to contact and went above and beyond in all ways. I hope to go back!

Unbelievably beautiful courtyard leads you to a lovely apartment with arched ceilings and wonderful character. The kitchen and bathroom are very spacious. The living room if comfortable and inviting. The bedrooms are a bit small but the beds are comfortable (all you need for a good night’s sleep). The apartment was immaculate. The owner was lovely. Check in was easy and she showed us how things in the apartment worked. She had a book that had helpful information including good restaurants in the neighborhood.Although everything about the apartment was great, the best part of this rental is the location. You turn one corner and yourself on a street full of restaurants and stores, you turn right and walk one block and you’re at the Arno River. You turn left and walk 2 blocks and you’re at the Basilica of Santa Croce. The location is just perfect.I would highly recommend this rental if you want to be in the heart of Florence in a beautiful, comfortable and clean apartment.

All communication with Roberta was quick and helpful. The apartment is right in the centre of the main landmarks of the city, very close to the river. Everything was easy walking distance, yet in a quiet area. The apartment is very comfortable and well stocked with anything you may have forgotten to bring. The ceiling is beautiful and the building is from the 1500s. Would highly recommend.

As with other reviewers, I can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was. My friend had never stayed in a VRBO before; she has now said she would never stay in a hotel again on trips like ours.Roberta got in touch with us shortly after booking -- which was about three mo in advance -- with some additional, detailed information, which also let us know that we were on her radar; sometimes I tend to stress about whether a reservation has actually gotten to the host. She promptly responded to questions we had in the interim. She contacted us again just before we arrived, to confirm what time we would like to check in, then met us in person. She has compiled a "house book" with everything from manual pages for using the washing machine to top recommendations for local gelaterias, which was incredibly helpful.The apartment itself was more spacious than we'd expected, with a complete kitchen, washer, dishwasher, coffeemaker, and had ample closet space, a lot of hangers and a large, collapsible clothes-drying rack. It is ideally located -- 5 min walk to Santa Croce and a supermarket; maybe 12-15 to the Duomo; about the same to Ponte Vecchio; 2 min to a street with a lot of small shops, restaurants, and a very good gelateria. Even though it is on a busy street, the windows face either over the courtyard or over a side street, so it was quiet; we had no trouble sleeping.If I'm ever lucky enough to make it back to Florence, this is where I'll stay. Grazie mille, Roberta!

We enjoyed the location of the property, five minute walk to the Arno river. There was a spectacular courtyard as soon as you walked into the property. Only one flight of stairs to carry suitcases. Having air conditioning was welcomed when staying in July. Only negative was to access one of the bedrooms, you had to enter via the bathroom (which if someone was using,not possible) or enter through the other bedroom. Nowhere to open out a suitcase in either bedroom.

Great location. Easy to get to anywhere in Florence.

We stayed here for 9 days and everything was as described. Easy check in and clear instructions for checking out. We came in by train and the cab ride was 20 euros. We only had to use taxis 3 times. Going to train station twice and once for an early morning tour. Highly recommend.

Excellent property!

The apartment is a great choice. The location is perfect, a close walk to so many points of interest, places to eat or purchase food. All of rooms are very clean with lovely architectural details. Modern kitchen and bath! Check in and out was very easy. Price is good for what you get. Excellent host communication.

Absolutely LOVED this apartment ! The remodel was well done on this 1600’s building.All the convenience of a modern apartment in a well maintained historic building . The location is perfect for walking to all our destinations, yet we felt more like a local in our neighborhood and not a tourist in the crowds . Would highly recommend & would stay there again .

Amazing holiday location

Roberta was an excellent host. She went out of her way when our flight was delayed to still be there for us at check in. The place is exactly like advertised and its location made it perfect to explore the city on foot. We read the other reviews too and there was some excellent information within them to make our stay even smoother.
