Perfect for our family!

Best place we stayed during our Venice, Florence, Rome trip. Very nice accommodations, perfect location. Walking distance to train station,tram, bus stop, and right in the center of things. Would stay there again!

Great Location!

Excellent location, central to museums and churches Great restaurants within walking distance. Stairwell can be dark at times just look for the switch at the bottom or use the light of your phone.

Property was very conveniently located. Apartment was on third floor (called 2nd floor in Italy) with no lift. Furnishings and glassware were sparse. Electricity was also sparse. No more than three things can be plugged in at a time. We had the refrigerator, a lamp, and a phone charger plugged in, and when we tried to plug in the coffeepot, we blew a breaker. The instructions on how to reset the breaker were unclear, but when we tried to contact the “help” numbers, there was no response. We couldn’t use the internet since there was no power. We were eventually able to restore power and were very careful for the remainder of our stay. The day before our arrival, we were informed that there was an additional charge for final cleaning and for tax, neither of which was mentioned in the initial booking. These charges had to be paid in cash on our arrival. Overall, the apartment was adequate for our needs, despite the inconveniences.

Great location and clean apartment

Apartment was clean and located close to the train station and Mercado Centrale. It was easy to walk all around Florence. Check in was via a lock box with no personal greeting, A man was in the apartment fixing the toilet when we arrived. Payment was confusing since we were not charged until after arrival and the Simply Home company kept asking for cash payment for cleaning fee and tourist tax. It felt like a scam but the VRBO host clarified it was correct. The curtain rod in master bedroom came out of the wall. We reported it and were told it would be fixed, but it wasn’t. They only came by to collect the cash.

Where's the Bed? Brand New????

Although in a good location, this apartment was certainly NOT brand new! One of the bathrooms had been re-done, but that's it. There were 6 of us and space for 5 to sleep. One adult had to sleep on a miserable pull-out sofa because the guests before us stole one of the beds! We were not informed of this until we were checking in! Also, there was what looked like blood on the shades in one room, the drapery rod had been pulled out of the wall in another, letting light in at 5:30 am because the outside shutters had broken and missing slats (I have photos of all of this). The shower door in one bathroom wouldn't stay closed, causing water to run into the bathroom, flooding the floor. There was no decor, just bare walls and we felt like we were in a dorm rather than a "brand new apartment" as advertised.

Great location, nice apartment

This was a nice apartment and worked well for our family group of 4 adults and 3 children. Pros: Overlooks San Lorenzo's church One and a half blocks from the cathedral. Several restaurants within 50 meters. Grocery store was half a block a way Just over a block from the end of the airport tram line About two blocks from the main train station Nice apartment with 2 nice bathrooms Cons: 1. Stairs - it is on what American's would say is the 3rd floor and each floor has high ceilings so its like walking up 4 flights of stairs. (Europeans commonly say ground floor with the 1st floor being above ground, whereas in my area it would be the ground floor is the first floor.) 2. A/C was weak in the master bedroom and it was hot in Florence on our visit. The other two bedrooms were fine but the master never really got cool. (It may have been our fault for not fully understanding the A/C remotes and features.) Note: Communication on payment was odd. No problem in the end but different from what we expected. We communicated several times before our arrival. We thought we had pre-paid everything but the property manager expected us to pay the cleaning fee and city taxes in cash at the end of the stay. It all worked out but was confusing.

Great location

Location was close enough to walk everywhere, and that’s just what we did with our family of 7. Property manager was easy to reach when we had concerns. There was a washer for use, however they’re not accustomed to having a dryer unit, so we hung our clothes to be dried. All in all, we would definitely stay here again.

Excellent Location

The location is perfect- the listing is accurate. Getting into the property was a little difficult because the keys had to be put in just right. Took us several attempts. Trying to find the correct apartment was also confusing. The directions for this could be better. There was not enough toilet paper for 6 adults and we were told to go buy some. Only one dish towel and no paper towels (which is not really unusual in Italy). The main issue was that I was messaged 4 times by the host to make sure that the cleaning fee and city tax be left, in cash, at the property- they were very insistant on this. It felt a little scammy.

Wonderful location

Location was great, large variety of restaurants locally. A few repairs were pending when we left but overall it was a beautiful apartment. No elevator, the apartment is on the third floor but the stairs weren’t too bad, large steps and nice landings. We would definitely stay there again.

Fun in Florence

We absolutely loved this location. The pictures are exactly what the apartment looks like. The process was simple and easy to follow at arrival. The only downside was that it is on the 3rd floor (by American standards) and only one set of keys. There also could have been extra towels since there is t daily maid service. Overall, anazing!

Great location, comfortable for party of 6

The location for this apartment is awesome ! It is less than 10min from the SMN train station and at the same time right in the center of everything. Less than 10min walk to the Duomo, Central Market, few more minutes to Pallazzo Vecchio, etc. Florence is a walking city so you can get by foot to everywhere you want from this location, we walked to Piazza Michaelangelo no problem. You just can't ask for better location than this. The owner was responsive and everything was accommodated properly. We had an issue with washing machine, it's one of those small european cylinder styles, we just couldn't get it to drain water out of our clothes, if it's us unable to figure it out then some better instructions would be useful. As some other people commented, the front bedroom facing the square can get a bit noisy in the morning when they pickup trash from all the restaurants around. It didn't bother us much since we wanted to get up and go to nearby cafe's and start exploring, but if you want to sleep then you might want to get one of the other bedrooms, lol. There were 6 of us staying here, 3 kids and 3 adults, we had no problems for sleeping arrangement. The living room/kitchen area is a bit small, but as long as you plan to be out exploring for the most part then that's no issue. We enjoyed this location very much.

Noisy appartement

Very well located but appartment just above street garbage and glass containers. Noise of breaking glasses all night long. Earplugs mandatory. Bed sheets too small. Unpossible to change the heating settings. Cold at night.

Great location

Location was great and main bedroom was large with plenty of space and an en-suite. The other 2 rooms are much smaller with the other double at the end of the apartment (a long way from bathroom and cooler temp than rest of apartment) so if going with 2 couples one will be disappointed by comparison. Pillows were awful and washing machine wasn’t working but overall we enjoyed staying in Florence.

Emplacement idéal

Cet appartement est idéalement placé pour visiter Florence et prendre le train pour visiter Sienne ou Bologne. Petite surprise à l'arrivée car 100 € de ménage nous ont paru un peu cher. La salle de bain d'origine mérite un rafraichissement. Bidet inutile et gênant. Sèche cheveux hors service, couvercle de poubelle cassé. A améliorer la literie des petits lits. Un presse agrume également devrait être ajouté dans la cuisine. Les autres prestations excellentes notamment la partie neuve de l'appartement avec une salle de bain moderne et une très bonne literie néanmoins très bruyant côté place.

Wonderful location in Florence

We just returned from a family trip to Italy. One of our stops was this wonderful apartment in Florence. The location was perfect. It was so close to all the things we wanted to see. There were six of us, three couples, and it was adequate space for what we needed. The only negatives were that it was warm and we could only run air conditioning in two of the bedrooms at one time, and that there was no elevator. We knew in advance about the elevator so that wasn't an issue. It could be for someone with mobility issues. I would definitely recommend this location.

Splendido!

Appartamento molto curato e confortevole, posto in una posizione fantastica, a 5 minuti a piedi dalla stazione SM Novella, a 1 minuto da San Lorenzo e 5 da SM del Fiore. L’aria condizionata ci ha salvato in questi giorni d’Agosto roventi, eravamo in 7 e siamo stati 4 giorni. Tutto molto bello!

Clean, spacious apartment in the heart of Florence!

The apartment was clean, spacious and had an excellent location to tour all the major sites of Florence. Everything we wanted to visit was within a 10 minute walking radius. The apartment is modern with two very functional bathrooms and three spacious bedrooms. Although a washing machine is provided, it is tiny and did not properly clean the clothes and no dryer is available. The apartment is on the third floor, so you must walk up the stairs - which was fine for us. The only negative about the apartment is that a garbage/recycling bin station is located directly across the street - which accounts for a fair bit of noise in the late night from restaurant owners dumping their bottles and early morning emptying of the bins by garbage trucks. For those sleeping in the front bedroom, the noise may be disruptive. The amazing location however made up for it!
