“We had a wonderful time in Cottage Hóll. The house is clean, comfortable and blessed with a magnificent view. Páll handed over the key directly at the airport and answered all other questions. The highlight was the whirlpool on the terrace and the northern lights in the clear sky. We definitely recommend it!”

“Askot Cottages are beyond phenomenal! Our best stay in Iceland. The cottage design is thoughtful and purposeful. Every little detail adds to the comfort and experience for the guest. The instructions are presented in a beautifully designed booklet that was clear and complete. All the amenities were stocked and high quality. I wish every place I stayed could be this perfect! “We enjoyed this property for our 2 night stay. The rental unit looks brand new and is furnished very well. It was probably the largest and nicest rental units we stayed in for our entire two week trip. It was nice to have the space! The only downside to this property is that it was out in the country, away from everything. So grab what you need before retiring for the evening. We were slightly disappointed that our cabin rental was in the middle of the other rentals, so we really didn’t have a……

“This was the last night in Iceland after camper vanning it all week. And, i must say it was an experience. The drive there, the surrounding area, and the beautiful view from the top was phenomenal! The room was very clean and modern feeling. I felt like a James Bond villian in my tower. We got lucky and were the only people there, so we had the tower to ourselves. I highly recommend this stay for a unique night with amazing views!! ”

“We really loved this place. It is in the middle of nowhere - but everything in Iceland kind of is. It was so peaceful here. The cottage was bigger than i imagined. The kitchen has basics like salt/pepper/oil. Close to the famous golden circle destinations so you get an early start in the loop before the rest of the tourists join in.”

A real bad dream checking in this guesthouse

"The property was worn on the outlook, seems being deserted for a long time. There was no hot water in the room and there was no heater in the communal washroom and communal shower! There was no shampoo and shower gel provided in the shower. There was no hairdryer in the room, not to mention any lotions or cups for brushing teeth!! The bedding seemed soiled and not changed for a long time , and have some hair on the bedsheet! This is a properly not suitable to be rented out! It should rather be demolished or totally renovated before any more bookings made! "
