Foinikas Country Houses

Beautiful Preveli Beach is located at the edge of Kourtaliotikos Gorge near Plakias at the South Coast of Crete, Greece. We walked down the steep path from Preveli Monastery (which is also worth a visit ⛪️) with this magnificent view 🌴 The other way to reach the beach is by boat. You can walk into the palm grove on both sides of the river.

"Summer Dream was the best hotel we could ask for. It was extremely modern, great view, and the town of Rethymno has a wonderful downtown area. If you go, I recommend Achinos, I believe it is spelled. The best food we had in Greece. Summer dream is also located next to many markets including SKYNKA, which is walking distance. I would absolutely recommend staying here. It was the best part of our trip in Crete. "

"Fantastic and very prompt comms from Joseph (the host). The Villa exceeds all expectations set by the listing - beds super comfy and plumbing excellent. Superb location - wandered into the village each evening for great food; beaches (if you really have to) are a short drive away. In our opinion, the best part of the Island too. Faultless. "Fantastic property and beautiful location. The property was just as described, beautiful quiet location close by the lovey town of Plakias. We had an amazing holiday, pool area at the villa was perfect and the local beaches offered us lots of choice. The area of Plakias is very quiet but the local town offered lots of restaurants, bars and shops. Beaches were clean, sea was great for swimming and they were not overly busy even during school holiday season. The Villas had everything we needed and the connecting balconies made it easy to move between the two properties. The drive from the airport takes you though beautiful mountain regions. We loved being away from the busier tourist areas of the North. We did 1 day trip to a Waterpark which took us 1.5 hrs to drive to. Overall the longer drive time was well worth it for the quieter and less touristy area we were in.All my interactions with the property team were great, they were very helpful and always available if we had questions. The housekeeping ladies were all very friendly and we really appreciated the extra personalised touches. We will definitely return!"
