"The hotel was conveniently located at the corner of the intersection and also next to a gas station, making it easy to find. However, it’s not walking distance to downtown Carmel. Parking was easy and plentiful, but it’s not free, and they don’t offer free continental breakfast. They charge $30 a day for parking, which is one of my biggest pet peeves. They also added extra hotel fees and parking tax at the end, in addition to the Hotels.com hotel fees. It’s clear they’re trying to squeeze every penny out of you. Checking in was fast and easy, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. My girlfriend and I decided to dine at the restaurant for dinner, but it was overpriced. However, the young guy who served us was very professional and attentive, and he deserves five stars for his service. They also had live music, which was a nice touch. The overall hotel was very clean and modern, but you can see some aging to the walls and the building itself. The rooms were very clean and spacious, and the balcony was nice. However, the sliding glass door was a pain to open, i kept having to slam it shut multiple times because i was able to get the locking pin aligned with some make-shift holes that were carelessly drilled. Overall, my girlfriend and I had an enjoyable stay, but it was way too overpriced, the hidden fees and paling fee were not very pleasant. Lastly, the beds were not very comfortable, especially for someone with a sensitive back. I could only sleep for about 6 hour"

"I stay here on every trip to Carmel/Monterey for three reasons: 1) Parking 2) Close to downtown 3) Reasonable rates The only negatives on this trip was no "Do not Disturb" placard available to use, and heavy footsteps above (maybe lack of sound insulation?)."

"Properties old and has not been remodeled in several decades. There are no elevators and four flights of stairs down to the parking lot so you wanna consider that if you stay here. Also, the furniture is sold and the walls are paper thin. I think it would be a good value if you paid $200 a night."

"Alll was great but the water pressure and water temp in shower. Water pressure was very low and the water in shower didn’t get hot. Other than that all was great! "

"On premise manager was extremely helpful. Location is outstanding for trips in and out of downtown Carmel restaurants and shopping. Breakfast was poor.Instant packaged oatmeal, cold breakfast patties and terrible scrambled. Definitely eat out - there are many great breakfast spots within 5-10” walk. Parking is a challenge. Was fully booked all the time. Had to park on 6th and then move car later in the evening."

"Enjoyed our stay. We really loved the fireplace in the room! Nice touch as well as the room service light breakfast delivered every morning! A design complimentary parking spot at the hotel next to our room was a big plus in Carmel! Several nice restaurants & pubs nearby."
