Amazing Rental House

We really enjoyed our stay at Barsl Retreat! The pool was amazing, nice sized kitchen for us all to cook in and enough space for everyone. We took an hour trip down to the Everglades and did an Air Boat Tour which was really fun. We’ll definitely be back! Thanks for having so many pool towels and pool toys!

The Bona family review

This home truly was magical for our little family reunion. Our daughter came in from Prauge, our Son and Daughter in law brought the baby and we were all together under one roof for the first time in years. We spent a lot of quality time in the pool and on the pool deck

This property is exceptional!! The house itself is beautiful and fitted with everything you need for a comfortable stay!! The pool/lanai is amazing and furnished with pool toys and beautiful furniture around to lounge in. The best part of the backyard was the green space behind the house which made hanging in the pool and on the lanai very private. You weren’t facing someone else’s backyard!! The neighborhood was very quiet and quaint, yet close to Walmart or Target if you need supplies or groceries. Of all the places we’ve stayed on our vacations to Florida, this is by far our favorite!!

Our stay was enjoyable - location was great, house was well stocked for everything (cooking, laundry, the pool....). We were pleasantly surprised with some of the extras including the privacy screens built into the pool cage, the pool cover, a warmer on the patio, a thoughtful welcome basket, in-garage parking (!!), any potentially needed tools and the list could go on. The Vacasa folks and the owners were responsive to comments. I would definitely rent again.

Decent house but overpriced.

We stayed at this house for 10 days and while we enjoyed our trip we have some feedback. We paid a lot of money for this house, much higher than others, and there were a ton of fees on top of it. This ended up being very over priced for what it is. The neighborhood is not close to anything and anyone booking should be very clear that there is not much to do in Cape Coral. It is a 45-2 hour drive to any activities. The homes in this neighborhood did not look well taken care of. The landscaping was minimal and there were cars parked on the grass. However, the neighbors we met were very nice. When we arrived the thermostat was locked and we couldn't make it cooler. It took awhile for the property company to contact the owners to unlock it. The kitchen had no paper goods including no paper plates, cups or napkins. We were also only given a few rolls of garbage bags, paper towels and toilet paper so we had to buy our own. I feel for this price this should have been provided. None of the bedrooms have a TV. Master Bedroom had no hangers but after requesting them, the property manager brought us some. The 3rd bedroom mattress is very hard and uncomfortable. The pool is great and had pretty lighting but we had to pay a lot extra for the heating where the rest of our friends did not pay extra. The garage had the owners car in it while the posting said 2 garage spots. They should update the posting. The house was overall very clean with the exception that the couch had cardboard under the seats and dirt all over. The property management company was very responsive. The gas tanks had no gas and they came out the next day to replace them. Also my daughter left her teddy and they shipped it to us immediately. Overall, this house was ok but did not meet our expectations for the price we paid.

Great time as always!

We’ve stayed here before, and loved it! We love having pool days. Love that there’s a grocery store close. There’s so many fun restaurants and things to do! This time we drove 2.5 hours and went to Busch Gardens for the day! So worth it! The house was spacious for 6 adults and 3 kids. Loved the pool area!

Honeymoon Perfection!

My new husband and I hand the luxury of staying at BARSL retreat for our honeymoon. This vacation home had all of the perks we needed! The spacious layout, quite neighborhood, and private pool made us feel right at home for the week. The location was perfect for being able to experience the fun Cape Coral and the surrounding areas had to offer. We were able to take day trips to Fort Meyers beach, Sanibel Island, and Matlacha since the home was located in such an easy area to navigate. We absolutely loved being able to wake up and enjoy the sun and private pool before heading out to explore the city! We made many stops along the way into the neighborhood each day to see the many burrowing owls as well! It was so much fun and we can’t wait to go back!!

Wonderful Home

The home was clean and spacious. Loved the pool especially with the pandemic going around and the beaches and community pools being closed we could still go swimming. The yard wasn’t huge for the kids to run around in but they could play on driveway. And it was more than some places have. Would definitely come back again.
