Long weekend getaway

The house is updated and very nice, but there is no dishwasher. Both beds are comfortable. The landscaping is overgrown by the creek and river and needs some TLC. Overall, we had a very nice stay.

Great cabin and amazing fishing

My buddy and I booked River Retreat for a fishing weekend. The cabin itself was extremely impressive. Very clean and inviting. The property is huge and amazing access to the river. Would highly recommend. We will be back for sure.

Awesome riverfront home

Kids and adults alike will love this stay. They provided two tubes and we walked them over to the campground and had a super fun time with the ten minute or so ride past the property and swimming in the river after. Place was clean and quiet inside. We appreciated the washer/dryer, the gorgeous main bathroom, and the ample cooking supplies. Two things of note - the main bedroom does not have room-darkening shades so we were awake every morning at 6 am with the bright light coming in. Also, there’s a porch out back but the highway is close - you can hear and see the traffic. So not quite as peaceful as we were hoping. Overall, though, it was a great stay.

River Retreat 2024 (Mothers Day)

This place was AWESOME.. Just an amazing house in an excellent location with the river being a stones throw from the back porch. The decorations and eclectic touches inside and outside of the house were very cool!! Will definitely be back!! We ALL loved it!! We were extremely happy with our stay! Thank you so much!!

No heat

We loved the cabin, but when we arrived it was cold and we couldn’t get the heat to work, used contact number and waited 11/2 hours no one showed up to fix the heater, communication was bad and every time I called back I got a different person in a different location so it took from 6:30 pm to 11:30 pm to get relocated to a cabin 30 min away and driving up to the cabin in the dark woods was rough. We were so tired we stayed in the cabin one night but had to be relocated to another cabin the next day because we are both 75 and the stairs was too steep for us. The next cabin was ok, it was on the water but it was not new or as big or as nice as the first one that we had to leave because the heat didn’t work. But the rest of our stay was ok and enjoyable
