"The Hampton Inn at the Navy Yard was an excellent accommodation for a week of touring the Capital. The staff were always available, cheerful and ready to help. The breakfast had variety and was consistent every day, the room was comfortable and housekeeping responded to requests and kept towels etc up to date. I couldn't imagine a more pleasant and competent place to stay."

"Clean place and good breakfast "

"The place was very clean...almost too clean. The smell of the cleaning chemicals was very strong throughout our stay. Never went away. Poor lighting. There was only one floor lamp for the entire TV and dining table area. We had to pull one of the lamps out of a bedroom to provide enough light to play cards at the dining table. The shower curtain in one of the bathrooms was 18" too short. The shower floor was flush with the bathroom floor and the bathroom "flooded" during each shower. We notified client services. They said they understood the problem, but did not have a longer shower curtain. They gave us towels to soak up the flooded bathroom. The same bathroom had no toilet paper dispenser. One of the beds did not have correct support below the mattress, so at the end of the bed, the mattress drooped down to the floor, such that our feet dangled and did not touch the mattress. The circuit breakers continually tripped...and we did not plug anything in, other than a phone charger! The washing machine breaker tripped while we were gone and a small load of laundry sat all day. The next day the microwave and kitchen outlets did not work. We were unable to reboot them. We could not access the patio. Door did not open. The showers did not have any shelves to put soap or shampoo. We had to leave our soap and shampoo on the floor. Nor was there a place to hang a washcloth. Very poorly constructed apartment!! Online photos did not match reality."

"A staff from the valet to the front desk were excellent. Location was very convenient, The only negative was we did fine a cracker stuffed in between the couch and the pillow, but besides that the room was immaculate"

"Front-desk staff was so friendly and helpful! Loved the amenities available in case you've forgotten something. The hotel is a great efficient and inexpensive option for business travel. Breakfast buffet is an excellent deal for the money as well. All of my basic needs were thoughtfully met. Francisca at the bar was lovely, too!"

"Staff was very friendly. Junior suite was spacious corner room and had a good view. Annoyed by "destination fee" of $30/night plus $5 tax on the fee. Junior suite had expresso machine rather than regular simple coffee maker. I couldn't get it to work."

"We have stayed at this hotel last year. Our visit this year was terrible. We checked in on Thursday & we were told the room would be cleaned on Saturday. It wasn’t, so we talked to the front desk on Saturday night & they assured us it would be cleaned on Sunday. Sunday night when we got back, no one had touched the room, so we were out of toilet paper, no new towels, bed in disarray, etc. We had to contact the front desk yet again & someone came up to service the room at 9:00 at night. This is unacceptable service."
