We stayed at the Train Depot as a central location to nearby Civil War sites. We appreciated the walking distance to shops & restaurants when we returned from sightseeing.
We checked in at 3am on a very cold night. The keypad on the door worked and the house was warm and ready. We only used the kitchen for coffee as we were in town for family visits. Location is great with easy walking access to downtown, (and nextdoor to police station). Bed was comfortable. A real plus is having the living area and master bedroom on the first floor.
We had a wonderful stay at the Train Depot. Danny reached out on check-in day to ensure we didn’t have any questions or concerns regarding access to the property or issues with checking in! The property is very clean and spacious! The kitchen is stocked with everything you would need and beautifully decorated. The location is within walking distance to many amenities! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Great location in downtown Frederick. Cozy and comfortable accommodation with great historic vibes and modern amenities. We would definitely stay here again.
Danny was a communicative host. I appreciated the recommendations he offered for meals because the Train Depot is located in such a charming part of town. The entire place was clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. We weren't able to spend as much time in the area and in the Depot itself because we had full work days, but we'll be back soon.
Right in the heart of downtown Frederick, this place is a gem. Close to everything, convenient parking, and the check-in process was a breeze. Highly recommend!
The "train depot" is very comfortable, clean, and well designed. It is spacious, allowing us to celebrate our son's birthday with immediate family. The owner has done a great job managing the property and communicates well. We hope to stay there again on our next visit to Frederick.
My family and I had a fantastic time staying at the 2nd oldest (renovated) train depot in the US. It was a perfect location and walkable to shops and restaurants in downtown Fredrick. We will definitely stay there again if we are back in the area.
In town for my Sister’s wedding. Stayed here for the weekend. Danny, the host, was easy to communicate with. Place was charming and very comfortable. Beds were comfy as advertised. Downtown Frederick is easily walkable, and hwy 70 was easy to get to to branch out further. Will stay here again if available the next time we are in town.
what a beautiful standalone building within walking distance to everything you would want to get to in downtown Frederick. This VRBO is so well designed and was so cozy and comfortable. The host had great communication and even offered up a list of local restaurants that him and his wife enjoy. We cannot wait to come back to this location.
We enjoyed our stay at this beautifully restored train depot in downtown Frederick. Easy check in/out ; easy access to parking deck located behind house; lovely art work displayed throughout; abundance of paper supplies & cooking implements; open & airy; excellent contact & communication with owner; walkable location to all the breweries, restaurants, lovely canal walk in downtown Frederick!
I cannot tell you how much we enjoyed our stay in Frederick!! The train depot was unbelievable - we actually squealed when we got out of the car and saw it in person. The property was so clean and included everything we needed. Location was perfect - we walked everywhere.
