Birthday Getaway
Superb location to Main Street Shopping! Private parking at the apartment made it so convenient! Inside the apartment was very comfortable and cozy. We happened to come during one of the rare artic blasts Texas experiences. They had salted the steps for us and requested we drip the faucets. No problem! We stayed nice and warm! Thank you for a great place to stay!

Excellent Location
If you are looking for somewhere close to Main St and great restaurants this is the place. A wonderful, affordable place to stay, which is hard to come by in Fredericksburg.

Great location!
The property was just as described. Thank the Lord for great AC working quite well in the unit! We appreciated that after waking in the 103 degree heat! The unit was very clean. The beds were quite comfy. The owner was correct in advising that you need to be ok with climbing stairs. They are quite steep so if you have an elderly family member you may think about renting one of their other units that is ground level. I took my 75 yr old mother with me for her bday weekend. She did ok with the stairs but had to take it slow. This unit was quite comfortable for our stay and we enjoyed ourselves. It’s in great proximity to restaurants and shopping which was great for us. There is private parking under shade that is right by the unit. Highly recommend.

Peaceful spot walking distance to downtown

Great place for Sister Getaway
This was a perfect spot for our Sister Getaway Weekend. It was within walking distance of everything we wanted to do, and the home was nice and clean. The Pizza place across the street was great too, so it was very convenient! It was a great weekend, thanks for helping us to make some great memories!!

Fabulous Location
Property is exactly as described. Perfect location and walking distance to everything Downtown Fredericksburg has to offer. Property manager answered all questions is a timely manner. Check in and out were easy. Property was spotless and had everything we needed for a great getaway. No cleaning fee and providing all the paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, and coffee we needed was a an added bonus. Already planning a trip back next month.

More than expected.
This is a fabulous find. As in pictures there is a full kitchen and very comfy beds. The pir h is great to watch stars. So close to restaurants and main street. We only walked to stores and restaurants. We hope to come back again to this place.

Property looked like pics and the location is the most perfect we’ve stayed in the entire town!!! Stairs were tiring at end of day, but to be expected and preferred over bottom unit. View was great. Problem is a giant kitchen with not one bowl at all. Don’t come hoping to cook or eat breakfast. Only plates and glasses were on hand. We did get bitten by red ants 🐜 in the unit and killed several. There was pest control as there many dead. We are aware of the drought and pest need for water; however ot was a problem for us. We mostly got bitten at night.

Easy check in/check out. Everything was clean. Plenty of towels but needed more wash cloths, and hand towels. Didn’t really have much provided as far as bath soap or body wash. There were large fire ants inside close to the window. Killed most of them, but I couldn’t find a broom to sweep them up. The location was great, definitely walkable to Main st. The porch was great! Had a great swing! Would recommend. The ants were the only big issue for me.

Great location
We enjoyed our stay, the property is in a great location, waking distance to the main road. Very spacious and well kept. Noticed other reviews complaining of king bed being uncomfortable, the master bed was very soft, so if that’s not your preference I’d choose a different location. The fridge did not cool very well, we used it for water so it wasn’t that big of a deal. We would stay here again.

Great Location
We had a lovely weekend here! Had a few maintenance issues but they were prompt in responding and sending someone over. The towels were also not all put away (found them in the dryer when we were about to leave) so we made do without dish towels all weekend. Location was great, close to main street and all the shopping/restaurants/wine tastings.

Silverware had rust spots. Iron with no ironing board. No hairdryer in main bathroom. Air conditioner upstairs had mold. No kleenex. Living room furniture was poor condition. Location was good. Porch was grubby and dirty.

Great location and super cute house. We enjoyed sitting out on the screen porch and talking the night away with our new wine bottles we picked up that day from vineyard tours! Great experience! Would love to come back.

Is 5 Stars The Highest That We Can Rate?
This was an AMAZING find!! We felt so much at home, with all of the comforts available to us as soon as we walked in. Main Street is literally 1 block away and you could hear the music from the porch in the evenings. The property managers were so friendly and helpful when we asked about the check out process (which is the easiest of all VRBOs that we have stayed at). This is a small compound of cottages, ranging in size and it has a private parking area and we felt safe the entire time we were there. They have more wine glasses and coffee cups that I have seen in a long time and trust me, we used both. :). Everything that we needed the cottage had. Right down to the forks and toothpicks. The fridge / freezer didn’t chill / freeze as quick as ours at home but it got the job done and we had cool drinks and scoopable ice cream when we got home in the evenings. The furniture and beds were super comfortable and they even had shampoo, soap and conditioner (which was lucky because I forgot mine). We will definitely be back!

A night in the roost
The only downside was the lack of kitchen utensils. Only basic pots/pans. No toasters or bowls. The beds/baths were lovely. Location is excellent, walking to downtown tasting rooms and restaurants.

Love the place. Close to town, the place was perfect size. Kitchen was amazing. The only thing the place needs is new carpet for all the stains or put wood floors in rest of the house. Will stay here again for sure.

Agave Roost - 3.5 Stars
You can't beat the location of this property if you want to be near Main Street but if you're a couple looking to getaway for a few days like we were, you may want to consider another place. Both beds were uncomfortable. The room with the king bed is upstairs in a loft-like room but the 1/2 bathroom attached to it did not flush and the ac unit made loud noises all night. Early Thursday morning seems to be a trash pick up day and of no fault of the owners, the trash trucks are extremely loud in the area. The kitchen is very big but there is no microwave and the coffee maker does not work (water sensor seems to be malfunctioning as it kept saying to add more water even when full). The water reservoir for the Keurig was also dirty and while it was nice to have a full size refrigerator with a water dispenser, the water filter is out of date. There are old carpet stains everywhere there is carpet in this rental (downstairs bedroom, stairs, and upstairs bedroom). The downstairs bathtub drain does not hold. We tried to lift and rotate the drain so it would stop collapsing but it didn't work; we ended up wedging a small shampoo bottle under it to keep it open so water could drain. Some of the blinds over the windows downstairs didn't work when we tried to open them. Additionally, there were wet sheets left in the dryer perhaps from a previous stay. Again, we did not report these issues to the owner because we worked around them and spent most of our time outdoors but yes, our stay could have been better with these corrections.

Wow
Great location - close to everything without the traffic - can walk around corner and be in middle of everything. Space was very nicely decorated and comfortable. Parking space is tight for full size trucks. We will be back again.

Close to main street
Great location. Must be able to climb stair to get to apartment and then up to master bedroom. Able to hear music from the street in the evening, but cannot see Main Street action. Easily able to walk to Main Street. Very clean.
