Great little place
This was a great little place to stay for the Total Solar Eclipse. Nice and secluded and quiet. The birds were fun, and entertaining.

ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING!!
This lovely Cottage, beautifully located on a fifty acre Ranch, is a perfect blend of old-style Texas tradition and modern amenities. It just "felt" comfortable the moment we walked in, and it truly was. A feeling that was wonderfully reinforced when we saw, what to us, were the three other, most important, things we need in any accommodation: it was spotlessly clean, very tidy and it had a huge, extremely comfortable bed. Superbly located in open fields, only 9 miles "away from the madding crowd" in Fredricksburg, it was our oasis of calm relaxation. Sitting outside on the deck, watching the sun go down, with the cattle quietly grazing in the distance, provided the perfect ending to a wonderful day strolling among the wildflowers. Our cockapoo puppy, "Millie", just loved it. She said it had everything she could want (even her own Water Bowl), and she could walk freely around the fenced yard, or even run around in the field outside (provided Dad would walk with her and keep her safe). Finally, we must thank the owner, Bill, who is a truly marvelous host! He is totally unobtrusive, yet there in a flash if you need help, questions answered or difficulties addressed. He is kind, considerate and friendly. A true Texas gentleman!

Country Cabin
It was a wonderful experience. The cabin was clean, quiet, very accurate in the description, close to town, Pulling in, the cows were there by the cabin and it was a peaceful feeling. There was a bottle of wine and 2 glasses on the counter which was very nice. I hope to be able to stay there again when we go back to Fredericksburg. Thank you very much for the relaxing getaway.

We have stayed at this cabin before. Is so quiet. Clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again. The deer are a plus. My husband enjoys watching them come to feeder. We went to the hilltop cafe right down the road for Sunday brunch hour. So nice

Wonderful property, great host.
I've stayed here 3 times now and wish I could buy the place. The cabin is a wonderful getaway, so well-maintained and cozy. I think of it as a home away from home. Bill is an excellent host and an all-around top-notch guy. I think this property is the nicest rental I've ever stayed at!

Hunters paradise
This was one of the best Vrbo stays we have had and we have rented quite a few. My husband loves to hunt and watching the deer in the morning and afternoon made his trip. Was a quiet relaxing experience for me. Cabin was very clean. Well stocked. We extended our stay from 2 days to 5. Ready to return.

The property was perfect for our stay in Fredericksburg. The area was peaceful and the house was clean and comfortable for our pup and ourselves. We did not meet the owner but everything was provided to make our time spent here comfortable. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Sweet Ole Place
It is a sweet ole place though I don't think the host is used to guests who cook all their meals in. Kinda slim on kitchen support items. But the bed and chairs are quite comfortable. There is no shower but it has a roomy spa tub. The place comes with the company of a very persistent, very vocal, very sad and sick old cat.

We enjoyed the place and the views a lot! The location is quiet and secluded and perfect for a couple and small child. We had a orange and black striped cat visitor who befriended us and our dogs. And we loved coming home to the white dogs who greeted us. We will be coming back this year for sure!

The country cottage
We just needed to get away for a couole days to unplug, relax, and enjoy some quiet. Our stay was perfect. We had privacy, quiet and a relaxed visit! Cottage was roomy and our dog loved the yard...especially the little deck.

This quiet little place was just what we needed to relax and enjoy our weekend. The cottage was clean and the room stayed cool. The property is not that far from everything in town but away enough to enjoy your privacy. Would definitely recommend staying!

It was a nice clean cabin. It needs a couple of grab bars in the restroom. We are older and the two step ups for the toilet and tub were a little tricky. It does not have an actual shower but had a pull out shower wand. We enjoyed our stay and the outside area with the fire pit watching deer was great. The court yard was over grown with wild vines so that could have been tended to, the potential could be seen.

This location is perfect if you want to be just a tiny bit out of downtown. The house was a perfect size for the two of us and our two little dogs. They enjoyed the small yard and watching the cows. We visited several state parks in the area and nothing was more than 30 min drive. Would highly recommend

Great little spot
This was a great little spot, close enough to Fredericksburg to enjoy it but just far enough out that you could have some peace and quiet away from crowds which was great. It was cool outside in the mornings and evenings, even in the summer. We enjoyed sitting out there and having our coffee and watching the deer and seeing the stars. It was great to be able to bring our large dog and have no hassle about it and have a nice little fenced area for him to run around in. Thanks to Bill for sharing his nice spot!:)

This property was perfect for our trip. It was close enough to downtown Fredericksburg to be able to do things, but once you went back to the property it felt very quiet and relaxing. The property was also very clean and had all the things you would need for a weekend trip. We also enjoyed having a fenced in area for our dogs to safely be able to explore and get exercise.

This property was perfect! Just 10 minutes from Fredericksburg and about 35 minutes to Enchanted Rock. We enjoyed grilling each night and watching the deer and cows in the field next to us. It was nice to let our dogs outside with us and not have to have them on a leash in the fenced in area. Very quiet and peaceful but close enough to town for activities. I highly recommend this cottage for a couple and their dogs, you will not be disappointed!

Very quiet secluded place. Lots of birds, and deer. Nice bed, and refrigerator. Very comfortable. Just 1 minute to the famous Hilltop Cafe. 10 minutes to downtown Fredericksburg. I love this place and will stay again.

We had a great time at Bill’s place and highly recommend it. We went with our toddler and small dog. The fenced in yard was perfect for them to play in. It was a short distance from all the dining and shopping options in Fredericksburg. Bill was very responsive to messages and accommodating which we greatly appreciated.

Perfect Fredericksburg getaway!
This was a perfect spot for a quick weekend getaway to Fredericksburg. The pictures don't do the cabin justice. The small unique antiques in the house give it character and the the host even gave us a bottle of wine upon arrival. The property is fully gated and there's a small yard area that's completely connected to the cabin, so if you have a dog it's perfect to let them explore. It's about a 12 minute drive to Main Street. The only issues I had was the cabin did not have a shower. There is hand held sprayer in the tub but it made for some awkward showering. Other than that, I love this place! Thank you!

My spouse and I had a great time here. It's about a 10-minute drive from downtown Fredericksburg, which suited us fine; with a full kitchen and a coffee maker provided, we enjoyed taking our time in the morning before heading out for the day. The mornings and sunsets are perfect on the little patio with either a mug of coffee or glass of wine while watching the deer at the feeder.

Wonderful property - can't say enough good!
I've stayed here twice now and absolutely loved it! Bill is the kind of person the world needs more of. He's an awesome, generous, accommodating host, always leaves a bottle of good wine out, has the place good and clean, even brought over a fire pit and a big pile of wood for us after I asked about having a camp fire! The dogs love the property too - lots of space for them to run around and other animals to see! I'd stay here again next time I visit the area for sure.

The highlight of this property were definitely the jacuzzi tub, which was wonderful to relax in, and the fenced in deck that allowed for watching the sunset and stargazing. This cottage is definitely secluded if that's your thing but it's pretty far out of town. I didn't realize that coming from a big city but the 9 miles is quite a drive from Fredericksburg. If I were to stay at this property again, I would not bring my dogs. There are a lot of cats on the property that my dogs wanted to chase and the ground is covered with burrs. Every time I came inside after walking my dogs around the property, I had to pick burrs out of their fur.

Fantastic Country Place
The Country Cottage is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Fredericksburg. It is 9 miles North of the town, but if you enjoy peace and quiet, seeing deer and star gazing, then this is the place for you. The cottage is very clean and the owner was quick to respond to messages. We had no problems at all. We enjoyed sitting outside in the evening and seeing the stars at night. I would definitely recommend this place for a couple's getaway.

We loved our stay here. Only 10 min to historic part of Fredericksburg (tourist part). This guesthouse was small but very spacious (open floor plan), very clean, nice fenced in backyard for our dogs, beautiful views outside. Overall, wonderful stay & will stay again.
