Excellent apartment I'm Funchal

Apartment was excellent and only a short walk from everything in Funchal. Great sea views. Located up a big hill so expect a climb

Fun in Funchal

The property was very comfortable. It was walking distance to old town Funchal. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back to Alegria.

Perfect for a long stay

I stayed for almost three weeks (I go to Funchal every winter) and this was perfect for me. Close to everything and easy to reach either by walking or by bus. I've already booked for next year! The management by An Island Apart is excellent as well. Any time I needed them they responded immediately.

IonsThe flat was easy to find and the instructions for the key clear. The apartment is light and airy with great views of the City and sea. It has a very well equipped kitchen and a comfy bed. It is a straight forward 10 minute walk to Funchal centre where there were many bars and restaurants. You are a 50 minute walk from the hotel area - but I like this

I thought I already filled this out? I said it was great and there were a few things that I swould have appreciated that the apartment has (paper towels, sheets, extra towels from the beginning) but it was wonderful overall.

Great Apartment

The apartment was just as shown on photographs, spotlessly clean and fresh smelling. It had everything we needed and more for a stress free holiday. Very comfortable (large) bed, adequate crockery and cutlery, superb power shower, even a very decent hairdryer 😊 Perfect location, 5 mins walk into old town and 5 mins in the opposite direction to Funchal main town, couple of roads are steep but not too challenging. Lots of restaurants within easy reach, daily market place and large Pingo Doce supermarket within walking distance. Both balconies have a spectacular view of the ocean and also the mountains, we enjoyed watching a cruise ship come into port and also the cable cars gliding by. The apartment building is secure and communal areas are kept clean. I would absolutely recommend this apartment.

A great stay!

My friend and I had a great experience at Rua Nova da Alegria 32. We found the location very convenient: near to many restaurants, to a Pingo supermarket, and to the Funchal market and that lovely neighborhood. The apartment was very clean. Two balconies with nice views. Plus a cafe/snack bar on the ground floor of the apartment building! So convenient. We rented a car, so having a dedicated parking place was a huge benefit. The washer in the apartment was also great to have. It relieved any pressure about going through my clothes too quickly (I traveled during a baggage-handler strike, so I only had a carry-on-sized suitcase). There were plenty of pots and pans and kitchen implements. There were a few random things that the apartment didn't seem to have (or we just couldn't find), like paper towels and garbage bags, but we just picked them up at Pingo. I'm sure I could have just asked An Island Apart; they were very fast in responding to my messages and probably would have dropped some off. Only other negative was that the shower didn't drain quickly enough, but that was a very minor inconvenience.

Lo Único malo a Resaltar que NO TIENEN AC , El Apto No cuenta con sistema de aire acondicionado, deberían tener al menos VENTILADORES, del Resto Pues tiene una Buena Vista desde el Balcón cuenta con estacionamiento privado , abajo del edificio tiene una panadería que pueden desayunar muy sabroso El apto está Ok
