Friends Reunion

We had four couples that enjoyed four days / three nights at this house. Enjoyed the beautiful setting for the house, plenty of room for everyone. Close to golf courses, Galena, hiking trails and vineyards. Highly recommend as the house had everything that we needed.

Wonderful Thanksgiving Get Together

We loved this property. It was so spacious and had all the amenities we needed. There was a very slight issue when we first got there and the owners immediately addressed it with no delay. The size of the house, and the sleeping arrangements allowed for our entire family of 6 to spend time together but also have private spaces to retreat to. The surrounding area is beautiful and we would highly recommend this property.

Overall, our accommodations were very nice. A lovely quiet setting, nicely furnished kitchen (maybe check that microwave door), clean, and welcoming. We were expecting 7 beds and had to really look to find the trundle bed that wasn't made up. But, that withstanding, we had a wonderful weekend and were very comfortable here.

Great house but lack of yard

Great and spacious lodge type house, enough rooms and enough couches. We were 8 single adults that had no problem sharing the stay. Only downside - barely any lawn and a yard.

We loved being in this location. It was a quick trip to town. The house was perfect for our family. It had 2 family rooms which was nice. The driveway was a bit of a challenge. It was rough and up a winding incline. One shower could use a new shower head and one did t drain quickly. Otherwise we enjoyed the house and visit.

Clean large house. Beds were super comfortable. I really liked the written directions for doors, tvs, fireplace etc. The screened in porch was great. We do have a disable child and were able to get into the house with a 2 foot portable ramp from the garage which was amazing. Took us a bit to find the grill which was in the garage so we had to pull that out at cook in the driveway. Overall great house.

The location was nice and secluded. The house was clean. We didn't realize 3 of the bedrooms were in the lower level with only one on the main floor but we made it work. We did note that one of the showers in the lower level had a weird set up for shower heads and the master bath shower doors were falling off when the doors were slid open or closed. We did note several windows were unlocked when we arrived and we went around and made sure all were locked as it is surrounded by woods. Overall, it was a fun place to stay.

Spacious gem tucked away in nature.

Really wonderful place hidden in the woods. Very spacious and accommodating. We really liked the open floor plan, the large screened in porch, the fireplace, and the views. There was plenty of everything that we needed from towels to blankets and kitchen supplies. It is a really wonderful well-maintained property. Highly recommended!

Spacious Home with a Great Layout

This was an amazing home for our group of 10. The main floor was great for entertaining due to the openness . . . kitchen, eating area, large family room, and fireplace! The place was clean and everything worked. No complaints at all. We would stay again, if visiting Galena again.

Great getaway

The property was clean and welcoming. Nice, private location! Loved the screened in porch! There was plenty of space on both floors for hanging out. My only complaint is that there were a large number of bugs in one of the lower level bedrooms (otherwise the room was clean) so nobody in our group wanted to sleep in there.

Overall we enjoyed this beautiful home! It served us well with the open concept, screened in porch & the fire pit! The only complaint we had was no WIFI, and we were unable to get the stereo or any of the upstairs speakers to work for music.

We had an amazing stay. The house was clean and beautiful We did have ants come in through the kitchen window if we set any food on that counter. We had to make sure we put all grocery items in the fridge. We also noticed that the outdoor deck and covered porch were not cleaned prior to our arrival. Other than that, we had an amazing stay and will recommend

Great property and great location!

We had a girls weekend in Galena and the property was absolutley perfect for us! It was spacious, clean, stocked with any of the essentials we could think of needing and was nested in a pocket of trees that made it so peaceful. There was severe weather predicted for the afternoon of our arrival and when I called the day before to see if we could check in just an hour early to try and beat the storm, the property manager responded quickly that they would have it ready three hours early instead. It just made the weekend that much better to get settled in and enjoy the storm from the screen in porch and all of the gorgeous windows in the main living space. I can not recommend staying here enough!

Beautiful home in the woods.

THis house was very spacious for the the 6 of us friends who stayed there. Bathrooms were beautiful, the screened in porch was nice to sit out on with a nice breeze. Very well decorated. The only recommendation I would have is to replace the coffee maker. It's an old model that takes forever to brew and doesn't have an automatic shut-off, which can be dangerous. (No Keurig either.) Other than that, we LOVED the place and enjoyed our stay there!

Sibling reunion

My brother who is about 160 pounds sat on a kitchen table chair and it collapsed under him. One leg was broken on the chair. Thank goodness my brother caught himself on the way down. Also the left handle on the porch door is broken and kept falling to the floor. We fixed it best we could but the screw is stripped. The ants are so bad they carried the food away I know this is in the woods but so is our home and we do not have ants
