Very dirty
When we arrived at the rental, the lockbox was opened and broken off. So no key was in the box. Called the contact and she answered right away. She led me to the another key. Within 5 minutes of being there, walking up the stairs a picture is falling to the ground. Again - called the contact answered right away. Getting into the house and walking around, it was very very dirty. The floor was not swept or mopped. There was clumps of hair on the bathroom floors, used eyelashes on the counter and all over the floor. Fingernails on the chairs. Unopened condoms stuck in decorations. Piles of dirt on the floor. The decks had chairs flung around, trash lying around. We’ve had to go to the store for cleaning stuff and spend hours cleaning just so we could stay there. I reached out to the contact - now no reply. 2 days later - still haven’t heard anything from her. The living room furniture was outdated and not in good shape. Also dining room table was very wobbly. Overall, the house was ok. Upstairs was nice and the house was very roomy. Elevator was a plus since we had elderly and handicapped people. Pictures shown are not updated to what the house actually looks like.

The property was great. We stayed at this property in 2022. It was refreshed inside and out very nicely. No one has any complaints. The kitchen was great, and the bedrooms were comfortable. I personally could have used a few more pans but it was well supplied.

Christmas 2023
We decided to rent a home this year that would fit our entire family. New traditions. Check in was supposed to be at 4pm. Well I was excited when the owner called around 10am and told me the house was ready and we could have early check in. The house is beautiful. The decor is nice with hardwood floors and tiled bathrooms. The master bedroom is fantastic, everyone wanted to bathe in that shower. The other bedrooms were just as described in the VRBO app. They were large enough for several people to stay. The elevator was a great help. It was sensitive. The only downside which the owner did explain was the oven and stove. They were a little bit outdated. I called about the stove and she guided me on how to use it. Everything was great and we had a wonderful time. I hope to do this again, probably in the summer!

The property owner was great. She answered any questions i had before the trip. She texted me the daybwe were arrivingbto let us know the house was ready early. The elevator was so helpful with taking groceries and luggage upstairs. The location Was great. My grandkids ebjoyed the week there. Bedrooms worked out perfect for a group of 12. Miracle of the Sea
This is a beautiful property that sits in a safe, quiet, clean neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of Galveston. The home is spacious, well stocked with linen and kitchen tools/dishes. The A/C is cold and the hot water is hot for all 10 of us! The separate living spaces allows for the kids to have a space to watch TV and play. The washer and dryer, while dated, works great. The outside shower has warm water and works great to get the sand off. The yard is spacious and well manicures, but watch out for fire ants! The swing set is a little rickety, but held up! We had a wonderful stay and the owner is easy to reach and very nice! Great for large, multi-family use.

Very disappointing
Entering the house requires climbing 3 flights of stairs. We came in after dark to unlit stairs. Once we got in the house we expected to turn on the outside lights to see to unload everything. Only a couple of lights worked so we had to use the car lights and our phones to see to bring everything in. We expected to be able to use the patio for supper but could but since the lights did not work. When we reported this we were told they would fix it after we left since it was not an emergency. We were told we could take some bulbs out of the kitchen fixtures and put them outside. The fixtures were in such bad shape we did not do that. I sent them a picture of the fixture and asked again to get them fixed. This time the manager said they were on vacation and could not do anything about it. The dishwasher was not connected to the cabinet on one side. The disposal was stopped up so the dishwasher drained into the sink. We fixed that. The ice maker in the refrigerator made almost no ice. There were not nearly enough towels so we had to wash towels. There was no detergent for that. This was by far the least stocked house we have ever stayed in. Fortunately we brought all the pans and such we needed to cook with. The grill we wanted to use was disgustingly dirty and rusty. We rent these type houses usually two times a year. This was by far the worst experience we have ever had. We have never been treated so dismissively by a manager or been in a house that was in such shape.

Good for families
We were about 4 families all together and it was the first time going to Galveston for some of them. This house was spacious enough to sleep a party of 17 adults and kids comfortably. The property manager was kind and has excellent communication, promptly answering any questions we had. The pictures are also accurate.

End of summer!
We had a wonderful time at this house! The owners called on our way in and were very welcoming and friendly. The house was very clean and well kept. Sufficient supplies on site. Beds were very comfortable. Overall a wonderful time and great experience. A pool would be the perfect touch, but definitely not a deal breaker. Would highly recommend this house! Thank you!

Staying at Miracle on the Sea was a great place for several families with several children to come together and spend time at the beach. The homes spacious bedrooms and bathroom made it easy to accommodate multiple families.

Family vacation was great
The house was great, unfortunately the elevator was not working and we had a lot of heavy things to carry up and down the MANY stairs. There was not any laundry soap or dish soap, thankfully their is a dollar store a few miles away. The furniture on the balcony is a quite worn out and some of it is broken Everything else was fine and we enjoyed our visit and so did our kids and grandkids!

very nice stay
we enjoyed this property very much. We had a large family and it was comfortable for everyone staying. We really enjoyed the two living room areas and being walking distance from the beach. It is a little drive down to the area with all the shopping and restaurants, but it was nice to have a large yard for the kids to play. There were a couple of issues with the power going out in the living room but once we found the breaker box in the main bedroom, everything was fine. I would recommend this property to friends and we would love to return.

Great Family Getaway Place
We were so impressed by the property. The house had plenty of room to spread out and the elevator was a blessing for our older family members. We loved the double living room, large kitchen and the multiple bathrooms. We would definitely recommend it and hope to stay here again in the future.

Easter at the Beach
While we enjoy our stay we did have issues with some items. The house was very roomy and able to easily accommodate 6 adults and 5 kids. The deck was extensive and could see that the beach was very close. Kitchen appliances and utensils enabled us to cook whatever we wanted. Some of the appliances need attention as did some of the furniture. Some of the outdoor paint is worn but that should be expected with the proximity to the Gulf. Our overall rating is 4.5 out of 5 and we would definitely book there again.

Miracle of the Sea
We booked this trip over a year in advance and had paid all the fees and received the confirmations and check in information. We had a large family of 12 and so hung around Galveston until we could check in at 4pm. When we entered the house, it was a mess. Looked like a frat party had taken place. I called the owner who at first stated she didn't have a reservation for us. Upon further prodding she found the correct calendar but still seemed confused as to the length of stay, etc. I explained the situation and she apologized and promised she would have a cleaning person out quickly to clean. She offered us a $100 gift certificate for our trouble, which we never saw. The cleaning lady came about 21/2 hours or so later and did an excellent job cleaning it. I left the rating for cleanliness blank as I couldn't give a high rating for how we found it but after it was cleaned it was nice. The listing gave the phone numbers for the husband-and-wife owners and stated to call if any problems and someone would get right back to us. The information for the wi-fi was incorrect, at least there were no networks listed with what we were given. We were provided with either one roll, or a couple of bathrooms had two rolls of toilet paper. One roll of paper towels, most bathrooms had two bath towels though at least one just had the one. Had towels were generally just one per bathroom though there was an extra one floating around. There were no extras and what you had, had to be washed to keep them usable. We went out and purchased new toilet paper and paper towels as with a large group we ran out quickly. Soap for the bathrooms we also purchased as what was left was really small. Some other minor issues I texted them about but never received a response. One of my grandsons got the wi-fi information from the router and we were good. The furniture was old and used. The kitchen table was very wobbly, and we were all careful not to put any pressure on it for fear of breaking a leg or something. The picture used doesn't show the trailer park next door, which I understand not a strong selling point. Having said all this the house fit all our needs perfectly. The bedroom arrangements were excellent for all of us, and it is in a more residential area away from the crowds and within a couple of blocks from a great beach. We put all the hiccups aside and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves during this trip. We all actually liked the house it just wasn't exactly as advertised.

Spring break vacay
The house was spacious and ample for everyone in the family. Great location, short distance from the beach. We enjoyed the beach being more private than closer to the island. House was well equipped with bath towels and kitchen items. We did have to bring our own paper items. Some of the beds are absolutely comfortable for a good night's rest. The only criticism we had, was for the price of the home rental, we felt the furniture in living area and upstairs living area could have been better quality. The sofa recliners and dining table are hanging by a thread, which made them hard to relax and eat on. But other than that, our family thoroughly enjoyed the home and location.

Great spring break vacation with friends
We visited during the off season (our Spring break is early), traffic was low so walk to beach was easy for us. Home worked well for 3 families. High chair and pack n play were both useful. Kitchen was very well stocked with appliances and tools. The elevator was very helpful. Seven Seas convenience store has tons of groceries fyi, i did pick up order from Walmart because I didn't know about seven seas for a few days into the trip. We ate out at Miller's on seawall and Rainforest Cafe (it has a ride!)

What a nice home!
Loved the house!! Enjoyable ladies trip with 9 adults. The elevator is a real plus for hauling food (coolers) and luggage. The manager is great and easy to deal with. Very Well stocked kitchen with everything you would need. The neighborhood is nice, quiet and safe-but be aware that it’s not beachfront and your view is not of the beach. It’s a short easy walk crossing the road to the beach, though. Spacious area for kids and play equipment outdoors. Only improvement we might suggest is to replace or discard broken patio chairs that could be a hazard. Good place for a large group or family gathering too. Nice stay!

Perfect size
Definitely big enough for family of 9! Ages ranging from 7-68. Lay out of home was great for everyone to have own space and restrooms to go with it. I will say there are a lot of stairs. But the elevator was handy for my mom And for groceries. Located out of town away from hustle of sea wall but perfect for public access to beach to just drive and park on beach was my favorite thing. It’s a gorgeous property!

Not as close to the beach as it seems.
It was a beautiful and big house. However there were a few issues. When we first arrived the grill was disgusting. There was a bug in the master bedroom. The upstairs shower had no pressure. The dishwasher hadn't been unloaded. The beach is a long walk away and you have to cross a very busy street. The beach had a lot of seaweed. Not worth the cost.

Pretty Good Location
We were expecting to be able to use the community pool and for the jacuzzi to be a actual jacuzzi. Master bathroom has the jacuzzi type tub. We had to clean the refrigerator because there was a lot of sticky stuff in both refrigerator and freezer. Location wasn’t bad at all! Beach near it wasn’t crowded at all but there isn’t a lot of stores near by. Definitely recommend taking extra toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags and dish soap. However everything else went pretty well!

So-so Stay
First off, the property's decor is excellent, ie: wall arts and frames, accessories. Good feeling coming in. Then problem arose the very first night. One day before checkin, manager called to let me know refrig went kaput and will be replaced the day of checkin...said maint will require @30mins in and out and gave a time window from 4 to 7pm. They came late (and we understood things can happen), and they ended up finishing the job by 11pm. We ended up helping the owner's brother-in-law with installation. Both parties encountered difficulties installing and left both exhausted. Not to mention the chaos from keeping the children away from first floor. The thing was: we lost 1 night of family bonding due to the chaos. And thats big deal for us since kids came all over out of states just for this 2 nights/3 days of pandemic-onset gettogether. But the owner was gracious enough to credit us $100 for the hassle... I am grateful for that gesture, but I honestly think that didn't equate closely enough to the trouble we were put through... we basically lost 1 night. But the main problem we have with this property is how dingy the kitchen/dining and the bathrooms were. At first sight, the kitchen and bathrooms were awesome, nice decors. But if you are after cleanliness (remember that this is pandemic time!) its a thumbs down. Molds growing on corners of shower stalls. Several kitchen surfaces, including dining table were greased up (venthood, counter spots, even some utensils looked like just rinsed and not soaped). I believe this problem is not the owner's direct fault but the cleaning crew's inability to sanitize properly... but, the owner should be held accountable for anything their crew does or doesn't do. I mean, the property should be inspected frequently to see if it is par for what it is being advertised for. Just my 2 cents on the matter. I hope the owner will start being proactive on their listings. I have pictures of the bathroom molds and kitchen grimes if anyone wants to see. I just don't know how to inset them here since I am writing this thru my phone. Message me if interested.

Yes I am sorry about the inconvenience I did call you one day before you arrive and I offer you a full refund and the option to cancel because of not having a working refrigerator. We tried to order the refrigerator so that they can professionally install it but that was going to take about 7 days so we had to make the decision to buy a refrigerator and install it ourselves so that you were not without a refrigerator during your stay. The house was booked every day for the summer and we were not able to install it before you arrived. My husband Steve usually take care of repairs and he was sent on military duty and I didn't get enough help. The refrigerator was too big and they had to remove the doors and that is why it took longer to install. We have talked to the cleaning crew and they corrected the items mentioned. We have provided the cleaning crew with a checklist and they will be regularly monitored. Thank you for your feedback.

Great property. Clean and well furnished. Love that they supplied a baby chair and baby dishes. Only thing I wish was different was the mosquitos were horrible. Hundreds hovering outside so we could not go outside or downstairs to the playground. Had to drive to the beach across a busy highway, but the elevator was great for our wheelchair guests. Would come back again but maybe bring a mosquito bomb next time.

Great place, would book again
I've rented 3 or 4 houses in Galveston and this was the best one by far and my group agrees. I've even paid $250-$400 more per night on other houses. I'll run out of room listing all the positives. Everything was clean, bedrooms were all quiet and comfortable. Kitchen was a perfect size and the property owners had a lot of different utensils to use. Great balconies for the kids to run around on, great entertainment area upstairs for the family. One thing I was worried about was access to the beach, need not worry, it's a quick walk or a 30 second car ride to the Indian Beach entrance. If you have a golf cart it was really quick, that was the route we went. Go down the street and eat at Nates Steak and Seafood and thank me later. Great menu and I'm still bragging about the food. The grocery store next door is great and has anything you need. If I had to be picky and name a negative, the mosquitoes were awful, but you're going to get that anywhere in Galveston, it also rained pretty hard the first day. Bring plenty of OFF for yourself but also some fogger. If you know you're going to sit outside, spray the fogger all around. Not the property owners fault, just something to be aware of. All in all, I give it two thumbs up and would rent again!
