“Nastiest place I ever almost stayed , booked for 3 days and I couldn’t last 5 min in the room. Dirty wash cloths and towels . Smashed bugs all over walls and also has holes in walls filled with toilet paper . Bugs in beds and public hair on covers. After all that they refused to refund even though I asked for refund after 5 minutes in room . Drug deals outside of building right in front of main office”

“Very spacious and well equipped. Sink didn’t drain and shower door wouldn’t stay closed.”

“Upon checking in, we found the hotel undergoing a co.plete renovation. Most of the main lobby closed off and the bar moved to the restaurant. The elevators were also being renovated and taken out of service 1 or 2 at a time out of the 3. I would have expected Expedia to have some type of construction notice when booking. I always stay at the Southbank when in Jacksonville, but this had to be the most disappointing visit EVER!!! Call the hotel beforehand to confirm status of renovation to avoid……

“Felt like home”

“I had a pleasant stay overall. The young front desk guy with curly hair was not only handsome but also extremely kind — truly six-star service! I wasn’t feeling well when I arrived, and he allowed me to check in early, which I really appreciated. The hotel was clean and comfortable, definitely worth five stars. The only downside was the service from housekeeping. Just as I entered the room and was about to shower, someone knocked loudly and impatiently on the door. Even after I said “just a……

“The breakfast was amazing. The girl working the dining room was the most professional person we’ve had on a vacation. Walking distance to everything you need.”

“I had a decent stay, the hotel was clean but completely empty. Most of the lights were off in the lobby at night. The morning breakfast was nice as it included yogurt and various cereals as well as some eggs. The room and bathroom were clean. Overall good stay!”

“While my room was initially clean, housekeeping did not come for 2 days; needless to say garbage piled up. We had to leave early due to an untimely death in the family; because I made the reservation through Expedia, Marriott would not refund any money. I will have to rethink reserving a room at Marriott in the future.”
