Very cute little cabin, needed some updates but was told a change in ownership happened in the time since I booked and the new owners seemed very eager to fix it up. The pond was nice even though the fish weren't biting. Check in was quick and easy. Would love to come back and stay especially after the updates they are working on!

Great Little Cabin!

This is such a wonderful stay! The property is positioned well near Pigeon forge. We had a blast hanging out in the cabin and going over to Paula Deen's for breakfast. Would definitely recommend this cabin!

Cute, quiet, but a bit far out for me. Price was good and cabin was inviting. Hot tub on deck was nice. Bed was comfy and fireplace was nice.

We only stayed one night, booked for 4 nightsDog pop on bathroom floor, urine on toilet seat, dog hair everywhere, wall about bed is covered in dog hair and dust. Stairs going up the cabin was not safe for older people.Table had dry food on it. All was said was “ we are sorry it was not up the your standards”

Very Comfortable Stay

The cabin was very clean and had all the amenities required. The king size bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the deck. Perfect size for a couple. Short drive to park entrance.

The best!

This was one of my favorite trips ever. We had so much fun fishing, playing horseshoes, and sitting in the hot tub. The place is so nice and clean and we always had everything we needed! We were so sad to leave and are already planning our trip back. It was a blast!

Needs Some TLC

We loved this property for the main draw- the fishing pond! My 8 and 10 year olds absolutely loved catching fish after fish out of the stocked pond (be sure to bring worms!). The cabin and grounds, however, definitely need some work and cleaning. There is a strong mold smell in the kitchen, the pots and pans badly need to be replaced, the bathroom wall is spattered with old toothpaste, the fireplace pilot light kept going out, the tub jets do not work, etc. But from a mom’s perspective, the joy my kids felt while catching fish overshadowed all of the. We had a very good time.

Beautiful relaxing cabin minutes from downtown gatlinburg.

Cozy quiet and comfy. We saw a bear our second morning not far from cabin. Nothing concerning. Good fishing spot caught good sized bluegill, challenging to catch they aren't dumb. Cabin had everything we needed and grocery stocking option was awesome all groceries were stocked and ready waiting for us.

Relaxing and Quiet Stay

We totally enjoyed staying at The Fishing Hole this week. It is a great location- minutes away from downtown Gatlinburg but tucked away in the mountains for a quiet stay. We had a blast fishing and exploring outside of the cabin. The pictures are accurate and the owner messages you back quickly! We totally enjoyed bringing our dogs as well. A great time was had by all! We were sad to leave but we will be back! Thank you Drew for everything. Perfect little cabin you have!

Rustic

Pictures did not describe the property well. The grounds were very unsafe and needed TLC. The walkway to the pond was very unsafe. Definitely needs some work on the outside. The inside was what the pictures described. Small but cute and very rustic. The inside was very clean. We would not stay here again unless we knew for sure the outside was made safer.

Husbands 30th bday trip

The cabin was cute but even my husband who isn’t as hard to please as me was not happy with the cleaning job. There was a heavy chemical smell like it had been cleaned but there was dried food or something on the dining table, was very dusty and when my dogs toy rolled under the bed my husband found a dog bone that had been left there. The hot tub was really the only thing we enjoyed. Even for 2 people it felt really crowded to us. I also immediately notified the owners of the lack of cleanliness and was told they would address it.

Cute cabin

The property was nice. The cabin was cozy and just as pictured. I will admit, as much as I hate to, that, although they seemed to have been laundered, the bedspread and pillow cases had stains. There were only 2 towels and 2 wash cloths left for 2 people for the week. Luckily, as a Mom of 4, I've learned to always take extra wash rags EVERYWHERE. There was also a very nice stackable and tide pods so we were able to keep the towels washed. The location was private which is what we wanted. This is only my complaint and only because I am fighting an NMD but the front steps were really steep and a little hard to climb. I also wasnt able to go down to the dock, which is a doll by the way, because theres not any railing to hold on to and its down hill. Just threw that in just in case you have trouble with stability, steadiness or muscle weakness as well. Other than that, this cabin is well worth a stay! Access and instructions were very self explanatory and the veiws into town are amazing. We will definitely keep this one on our list!

Great weekend!

We had a wonderful time visiting Gatlinburg and enjoyed our stay in the cabin. It was the perfect size for our stay and we had everything we needed. Check in and check out were a breeze and the owner emailed while we were there to check that we had what we needed. The location was perfect-about a 10 minute drive to the downtown area but we preferred to visit the smaller shops in The Glades due to crowds. The main bed is very firm so we chose to sleep on the Murphy bed the 2nd night which is much softer. Several people would drive by and stop out front to see the pond. If you are fishing, bring your own tackle. The supplies have been picked through but we were able to get all we needed at the local shop. We even caught a few fish!

Not really a fishing pond but the place itself isn’t bad.

The fishing pond has zero fish in it for being stocked. I’m an avid fisherman and it was very obvious there wasn’t any sign of fish in the pond. The dock was falling apart and the stairs and path to get to the dock are VERY unsafe. But the place itself we stayed in was quaint and clean. Being advertised as a fishing pond isn’t very correct. But if you are looking for a decent place close to downtown it’s not a bad choice. Also was overcharged and I’m still awaiting my refund but the owner did say he corrected it. Just awaiting it
