"Room smelled like wet dog. Breakfast was less than appealing. Only fruit was apples, no yogurt. We are not very picky people but we've crossed this one off our list to stay at in the future."

"Hotel was not prepared. No towels and washcloths. Lights in bathroom, one lightbulb working. We asked multiple times for 2 days for towels and washcloths but were told they didn’t have any. I’d give it a 2 out of 5. "

"Our stay here was perfect for our overnight stop. Loved the USB plugs in the nightstands as we forgot a charging block for one of our phones. The only thing I would want for next time is to bring slippers to have for walking around the house, due to the large floor grate."

"Checked all our boxes clean, comfortable, convenient, safe, quiet. Immaculately clean, comfortable space & beds (plenty of blankets, pillows & towels), nice kitchen, Everything worked well, appreciated having 2 luggage racks & bedside tables on each side of the bed. Heat & hot water worked very well. Lamps weren't the greatest for reading but good enough. Wifi worked well except when there was a glitch that was NOT our host's fault, it was the provider's. Ironically our host tried to message us however, we didn't get cell service at the unit (we have Verizon, they said AT &T works well there) & of course didn't have wifi so we didn't get the message about the issue which was resolved relatively quickly but the point is, they did try to tell us about it & I knew we could just have gone upstairs and knocked on their door if we needed to. Only issue to be aware of is the driveway to the unit. The directions were clear however I will say, we were glad we had a mid-size rental car & not our little compact car we drive at home. Don't think it would have fared well w/the ruts and bumps and the steep driveway up. That said, it's a lovely view and you're definitely away from other people. We did hear some footsteps and vacuuming from the unit above but only momentarily and not problematic at all. We did some really nice hikes nearby in New River Gorge National Park. We were coming from the south & found it worked well to stop in Oak Hill at the well stocked Kroger for groceries."

"This home was very beautiful and very cozy. Everything was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. We very much enjoyed the outside fire pit. The home was tucked away in a neighborhood but felt very private"

"Lovely location, beautiful views from the room. Restaurant served good variety of food. Room functional, bed good. If you like 60s decor this place is for you. My way of saying it could do with a remodel, but maybe others like it the way it is."
