Comfortable Home
Overall it is a nice house in a great location near the beach and McMenamins Sandtrap. Home has everything you need and is clean. We had some trouble with ants in the kitchen and didn't hear back from the property manager on any sort of resolution. It happens, but made it difficult to use the kitchen well. It was a nice home though and we enjoyed our stay.

Nice home in Gearhart
Pros: Location - The location is a quiet neighborhood one block from the golf course. Easy walk to the beach and golf course. Size - the house is quite large with plenty of room for folks to gather or have privacy. Price - This home is the least expensive in all the North Oregon Coast. Which explains why it's rented all the time. Well stocked - there are plenty of dishes, glassware, pots & pans and utensils. Home is very well equipped. Cons: Communication with VACASA and local people - We had a couple of issues during our stay. With the first one they were super responsive. Our 2nd issue was they gave us 3 rolls of toilet paper for 4 adults staying 6 days/nights. We communicated via email asking for more and got NO response, so we ended up buying some. BAD form Vacasa, bad form. Upkeep - The home is older and in need of some upkeep. The kitchen faucet doesn't work as well as it should. One stove burner caught on fire when we turned it on due to accumulated grease on the foil covered burner pan. we got the fire out and my wife put new foil on the burner pan (we had to buy the foil because none was in the house. The family room in the back stays way warmer than the rest of the house. It's a forced air system that's not very efficient. Therefore, the family room stays too warm while the rest of the house is too cold. Overall, we will stay here again.

Girls Weekend
We were in town for a girls’ weekend, and the Great Columbia Crossing. Gearhart, the Ridge Trail, and beach were perfection. Weather was unbelievable too! We had an excellent time at this cottage. Great stay and place to chill out.

Great Place
This place was amazing. It was clean and on a quiet street. We had elk walking down the street, just down the way from the beach. Very close to Seaside, Cannon Beach & Astoria. You will totally enjoy staying here.

Very clean - a little dated - but it did the trick.
Great location - we were in Gearhart for a golf tourney weekend - so location to golf course was perfect! And a nice little walk to the quaint downtown for coffee and muffin two mornings - very walkable to that area. Great parking and very peaceful location - totally residential - no condos, etc. big lots as well. Nice out door space to relax in the back yard. Interior was OK … kitchen clean and serviceable. Bathroom had been remodeled and the beds were comfy. Input from me a well seasoned traveler and vacation home owner; lose the OG flatscreen tv with VCR/DVD combo and standard cable and get a Smart TV and let people use their apps (Netflix, Prime, etc). The VHS is a little janky … I know grandma likes it or liked it … but time to let it go!! And i makes operating the TV to watch basic cable a pain in the butt - there were five different remotes! That is not user friendly. Sofas in the TV lounge - dated and kind of soft and a little spent. But I get it - it works and it’s a rental. The whole unit - the furniture is dated - but it works. Bathroom fan sounds like a 747 is about to take off - not a big deal though. The fridge had condensation build up so a pool of water cascaded onto the top glass rack - owners probably don’t ever know this as they live out of town. Had all the kitchen amenities we need - coffee been grinder and decent knives and cutting boards. We ate out every night. It was clean though - I’ll give them that - so good job Vacasa.

Great Gearhart house!
The house was great. Good location, nice and spacious. The kitchen had everything you could want. Only recommendation would be to put some nice outdoor patio in the back to enjoy meals and relaxing.

Very clean, good location
Overall had a good experience. The place was extremely clean and the kitchen was well-stocked. The only negatives were: 1) no patio furniture on the back patio, 2) no propane grill, and 3) no electric fans. Fans are a basic necessity in an area that can get hot (as it did for us) so this was a surprising oversight in a home without A/C. Also the lack of propane grill and patio furniture was a bit surprising but I figured there was no grill from the listing and planned accordingly. Still, would return to this home on a future trip to the area.

Super stay short walk to amazing beach
The home is so cute and comfy with a fully stocked kitchen and lots of extra touches. It is also spotless! The beach was lovely … we walked for ever!

We will be back!
Spacious house with two separate living areas made it easy for my husband to wake up early with the kids and not bother anyone still sleeping by going to the far living area of the house where they couldnt be heard. 1 minute drive from the beach. 10 minute drive to Seaside. Great patio in the back for BBQing. We walked to the McMinniman sand bar for a drink. Would 100% stay again and look forward to doing so!

Very dirty but great location.
The bedsheets and comforters were all wet and on the bed that was made. I'm very confused why the bed was made with wet sheets and blankets. There were 3 white & blue stripped towels on the bench in the walk in way and they were rolled up soaking wet. Good thing they have a washer and dryer so we washed everything on arrival. The tables had crumbs everywhere and dog hair all over the carpets. The pillows were filthy with water/sweat stains and mattresses are worn, old and sunk in too much. They said we couldn't check in earlier than 4pm because they were deep cleaning but doesn't seem like anyone cleaned. I love the area near mcmenamins and a local bakery. It's close to seaside and cannon beach & the neighborhood is very quiet & neighbors are very nice. Not sure we'll be back here again~

Nostalgic cottage
The house was warm and welcoming on first impression. As you got into it and start looking for cooking supplies it was unorganized with many of the same thing all around the kitchen. Pans in one place and lids across the room in drawers. Baking supplies in several places. Coffee machine did not work. The bathroom was well supplied and nicely done. The tub drain did not drain. We had 3 inches of water to stand in and about 30 minutes to drain before the next person could shower. In closets it seemed to be storage for too much furniture and odds and ens stashed there. Unable to use the closet to hang items. Game closet was a mess with the games and puzzles out of boxes and mixed together. The home has so much to offer for a vacation stay if it could be uncluttered and organized.

Very quiet.
Quiet part of Gearhart. House is about one of six or so on dead end street, and off the main street. It's not exactly a short walk to the beach, or downtown, or golf course, but is an easy bike ride. All pretty level streets and roads. Yard is not fenced so a tie up for the dog is needed. Flat lot and lots of room for yard games.

This is an odd house. There are two large living rooms with overstuffed, large furniture; a very confusing layout of rooms; two steps down or up to each room; two small bedrooms; one bathroom with a tub/shower you have to climb into and very slippery (no tub floor anti-slip mat) and a toilet that is about 12-14 inches high from the floor with no grab bar or way to help assist you back up. In summary, if you are older, unsteady on your feet, or clumsy this house is an accident waiting to happen.

Very easy to get to and cute space. It says only 4 guests and it only sleeps 4 but so much room in TV room and front room that it seems weird not to have more guests to entertain.

Beautiful getaway cottage
What a great house. It has so much character. We stayed here with our teenage twin daughters and our pup. He had just as much fun as we did. The layout of the home was great. There are two big living rooms, comfy beds, a well-stocked kitchen, cute bathroom and plenty of towels. It was convenient having a washer and dryer. We arrived to fresh sunflowers and gerber daisies in vases on each of the tables, a very thoughtful touch. Great home and great value. We will be back for sure! It’s hard to leave this sleepy beach town.

Perfect for family of 4 with 2 small children
The house was just what we needed for a little family vacation. What was awesome for us was that the house had a toddler bed which was just perfect for our almost 2 year old. Plenty of space in the house and yard to enjoy outside. Would definitely stay here again .

The house is neat and tidy with plenty of room to spread out and relax. We had football in one room and cards in another The beach is close and so is the golf course. We had deer and elk in the yard. A relaxing weekend for us and our dogs. Thank you

Funky cottage
Convenient location. Don't expect glamor and glitz. We were comfortable and had everything we needed. One thing that didn't work and needs fixing is the bathroom fan/heat lamp in the ceiling. The furnishings are old, the room arrangement is unusual but the place is spacious and quiet.

Well located, but needs some updating.
The property had a cottage feeling and was near the beach at Gearhart. You could drive right onto the beach and set up for the day. The bedrooms were fine and the little bed in one of the downstairs rooms was a hit with my 3 year old granddaughter. Only having 1 bathroom was a challenge at times for 5 people. The TV situation was a bust. The Roku box never worked, even after having to download the app onto our own mobile device and having the property manager and a tech guy come and have a look. A straight forward cable box would have been much better and saved us time and headaches. There are an eclectic assortment of VHS and DVDs. Also the furniture in the TV room (which is the room with the fireplace) needs to be replaced with comfortable seating. The property was clean and near to Seaside (driving) where there are activities and restaurants. Overall, I don't think I would recommend this to a friend as there are lots of other properties to choose from around the area.
