Talbot and Bons Boutique Bed & Breakfast

"This property is stunning! The whole villa complex layout was so thoughtfully done, preserving the historical feel of the facade and build but making it super modern on the inside of the rooms and giving it a loft-like feel. I wish I could have stayed more than one night! Irene at the front desk was super nice and helpful, and check-in, check-out, and early morning/late night access was super easy. Comfy bed and lovely bath products. The pool area also looked great, but unfortunately it was raining when I was there so could not use. Super close and convenient to airport and tucked away in a quiet part of the island and street, but also very accessible to main areas, I took an Uber to get into town, and then took the bus back to explore, and this was easy and safe and left me less than a five minute walk away from the property. Highly recommend!"

"Violet was such an adorable host, she went above and beyond to make my stay exceptional even thou she had a recent surgery and was recovering. Although the property is closer to the airport than Valletta, it is well served by buses which are frequent and reliable. Bolt is also available to go out at night. There's a very good pool to relax after a day of excursions. I can thoroughly recommend Ta Bertu"

"Room overall was ok, view was lovely with a glorious sunrise every morning. There were issues with some areas though. The black out lining on the curtains had large areas that were warn, so sunlight always streamed through. There was damage to the laminated surface below the room fridge, which was quite extensive. The handle for the shower control came off in your hand. Breakfast was tricky, I have a chocolate allergy and don’t eat cooked breakfasts/ processed meats. There were only 2 cereal options and all the pastries were mixed in together so chocolate was the main option whether croissants, muffins etc and as they were all touching each other, I struggled to find something to eat, even the yoghurts were mainly chocolate flavoured. The fruit was boring and unappealing, banana, apple or orange. The pancakes had been pre-made on the first morning but the dining room lady kindly went and warmed them up. She also put a couple of pistachio croissants on one side for the second morning, but no such luck for our 3rd day. Great beach location, including early morning swims with the fish in the bay. The restaurants nearby were uninspiring unless you want pizza, pasta or burgers every night, we had to travel for decent evening meals. Final word of warning if you’re staying there on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night, they have bingo on directly outside the hotel front, via a very loud microphone and speakers and it goes on until 11pm, not good for early flights home."

"Hotel well located , 20 mins to hotel, sea infront of ys and lots of speed boats in the water which was lovely view from balcony. Breakfast was fine nice and easy Room - we stayed in supreme room with sea view it was excellent for us . You can request it as twin or double . Room was clean and spacious . Balcony was perfect . Mattress was amazing, super comfy bedding. Staff were lovely - we didn't need much interaction but we got what we needed . Left luggage in their lock up storage room after checkout . Very handy to do local exploring on the day you leave . AC saved us as we popped in and out of the reception and beach so recommend it for that. Thankyou to all the staff for a lovely stay ."
