「The hotel room exceeded my expectations. I am a hotel snob and was recommended to stay here overnight during the ice storm. Very clean and comfortable. Truly pleased with my experience and the food at the Wood fire grill was excellent especially the lobster and shrimp fettuccine. 5 stars for sure. 」

「It was the night after a big snow storm and I found myself stuck in the city. A quick check on hotels showed the Mt Vernon Inn. I got there at about 11:30pm. Check in was easy. The room was rather “colorful”. Like bright tropical or Mediterranean colors ….different but kinda cool. It was also clean and the bed was comfortable. It’s clearly an old building but appears to be kept in good condition. The only negative would be the heater. It was a big window unit AC/Heat combo unit....
