“Room was basic, shower water pressure very low, lighting in room not great, Breakfast - staff were doing a great job but were rushed off there feet, very busy and could not cope with demand on some food items like croissants, fruit, hash browns, sausages etc.. Also guest seemed to taking food and not eating it - wasting, and some did not care about leaving the place tidy - absolutely clueless people ”

“This was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. The place looks neglected from the moment you arrive, the parking area was full of rubbish and broken items and generally felt unsafe. Inside things didn't improve. The room had clearly not been properly cleaned or updated in years. the ventilation fan was covered in dust and grime, and the walls had marks and stains all over them. Everything felt worn out and it generally made the room feel unhygienic and uncomfortable to stay in. I……

“Very clean and modern. Long wait at check in when we checked in at 18:30. Rooms were lovely. Restaurant staff were slow but food good. Breakfast great. They had an Easter egg hunt on the the children which was great. £9 for parking seems quite high. ”

“We had a comfortable stay at Upper House and slept well. Breakfast was enjoyable, and we also had dinner during our visit, the food was lovely and a real highlight. However, the room cleanliness was fairly basic and could be improved. The staff were polite but didn’t come across as particularly warm or welcoming. The property itself feels quite dated and would benefit from modernisation, as it seems to have remained largely unchanged for many years. It’s also worth noting that the venue hosts……

“I booked two rooms as a last minute stay. Immediately on bookimg I had two phone calls that I missed as I was in my way to the accommodation. I then received a text message to tell me they could not accommodate my booking and to cancel. I was adviced by Expedia not to cancel as this would be against the cancellation policy - I am still trying to get a refund and will probably have to esculate the process”

“Their service is great an warm. The receptionists gave us wise advices during snowstorm while showing care of us. The location is so convenience which allows us to drive there safely. We will definietly stay in this hotel in our next visit”

“The room was great. We stayed in 1A. Clean and spacious. Just needs a mirror in the room so you dont have to stand with bathroom door open when drying hair. Breakfast was yummy. Plenty of continental to choose from. Staff very courteous and professional. ”
