"The room had a strong musty mildew smell, and the TV didn’t work. The young lady at the front desk gave us another room across the hall which had the same smell. She said “no one was available to fix the TV she was there alone”. The room, bathroom & linens were clean and for breakfast there was a very good selection. Staff was friendly and tried to accommodate but was beyond their control. The Property owner needs to maintain this property better. Seems to me there was a roof issue that was not properly resolved. There was peeling, bubbled wallpaper, what looks to be wipe marks on the wallpaper and wet spots. The ceiling was freshly painted which was just a cover up. We were in town for a funeral and spent most of our time with family -not in the hotel. There is only 1 other hotel in the area. I asked for a refund and was told she was not authorized to do that, so we were really just stuck with this hotel. We won’t stay there again."

"Our visit was fantastic! Members of our family stayed here for the holidays and we had expected the cottage to be a great solution, however, it was just beyond delightful! The cottage had a decorated Christmas tree with lights and beautiful soft and cozy throws for curling up! The bedrooms are lovely and spacious and the kitchen well equipped. Checking in was easy and Shannon was great with communication. The cottage and Shannon exceeded our expectations and made a wonderful place for making some Christmas memories!"

"Everything was in excellent order in the home. Shannon communicated well and gave clear instructions for check in. The welcome book was very thorough with regards to the local area. "

"We could have gotten past the fact that the house was not the cleanest or the fact that there was really no place to hung your clothes. All the bedroom closet were full on the host personal items. Most of the kitchen cabinets were also full of the host personal food, two cabinets were full of spices, most expired. And really no sets of dishes to eat off of. The smell and taste of the water was horrible. We couldn’t even brush your teeth without a using a bottle of water to rinse. We spent a lot of money on bottle water. And bathing was nearly possible to the point we left a day earlier than planned. Pictures posted of the web site definitely did not match our expectations on the place. The back deck was nearly unusable due to the dog poop all over the outside carpet. We could not find a fire pit. Our host did check on us and communicated well. We were disappointed with your stay. "
