Upon checking in and walking into this cute cottage, you are greeted by an open concept living space with a great amount of natural lighting. We did notice the floors were a bit sandy, but it is to be expected when you are visiting a costal town. There was a nice greeting card and a pet bowl with pickup baggies was provided which was a nice touch.
The kitchen was stocked well with pots, pans, glassware, silverware, etc. You can tell that the owners read each and every review and make adjustments as they go. There is a Keurig with the option to use your own coffee (grounds) if you did not have pods, but they also provided coffee pods as well, and a french press is available too, so many coffee options.
The blind issues that had been mentioned in past reviews was address and have been replaced with cordless blinds that provide the perfect amount of privacy, while also allowing some muted natural light into the rooms. The bedrooms are well appointed with extra blankets, pillows, and heaters if the rooms is too cold. The heating/cooling system in the property works really well and heats up the space great, and has a good fan and cooling feature too. It does make a little clicking noise when starting and as the fan turns off, but nothing to loud and disrupting.
The only *wonky* thing that we ran into was the shower head situation, but found a way around it and managed to hang the shower head on the shower curtain (shower head has a little clip on the back) and was able to take a normal shower, while making sure the water stayed within the tub area. The one recommendation I would make is to make a mount for the shower head attachment to the wall, but that is it. The bathroom was well stocked with lots of bath towels, hand towels and toiletries.
Overall it was a great stay in Gold Beach, and look forward to staying again while in the area.
